Been drink’s but….

Yo! Fun place to get boozi!

Is this something that be had in cans?

Soo hoping!
One gallon and 5 gallon

This is the epoxy primer - B67
and used reducer R7K111

This is the Acrolon industrial paint (comes with hardener), and I used Reducer #58. It comes out super thick. I had to reduce it down well below what they recommend in order to spray it through my gun (had no effect on the properties, just didn’t go on as thick)

Go here to match up colors

and get the color codes. They can cross over any color they have a code for in their home line(?) to Acrolon. If they don’t have anything close to what you’re looking for, they can still work to match, but takes longer.
These industrial primers and paints are only available at the SW Industrial locations and can’t be purchased at their regular house paint outlets.

If I were going to paint a complete pig inside and out with industrial coatings I would invest in a cheap little 2 quart pressure pot. The ease of uses and the extra capacity would make it worth it by its self but it’s also the right tool for the job and will push the thicker viscosity paint.

This might be very relevant for me as I plan to blast and prime the redneck trailer soon.

Nah, the doomer has some surgery soon. It's going to be rattle for a while if not it's whole life. I might put a satin clear on it to preserve the blackness. The trailer will be painted to match..obviously.

Seems that this paint is not sold in California. :/
I have the same issue, most times I search these awesome product recommendations they are not available up here 😕

Yo guys! I feel like I’m letting myself down.

There some ‘comparable’ kit out here.

****! I didn’t even wanna be painting this thing!!!!!

You can look back on this knowing you did everything right.
Right , wrong or indifferent you have to move forward or it will be the perfect project that never got finished. I don’t know that the perfect Pig exist or ever will but we all share ideas trying to achieve that one pig that will get the closest.

What I’m trying to say in a whisky fueled tirade after a long day is don’t let these minor details we talk about delay your forward progress but rather incorporate them if it’s convenient, if not keep moving forward with your plan and finish the pig. So with that said a good primer then a good top coat on everything first. If you need texture on your undersides apply it over the top coat.

I’ll be interested in seeing the pressure-pot gun setup you pulled the trigger on and what the nozzle/tip size is vs. the paint you ultimately end up with. The industrial *acrylic polyurethane* is thick. The automotive acrylic urethane, PPG’s Deltron, for example ($800 per gallon I was telling you about) suggests a 1.3mm - 1.6mm nozzle size.

I hope that link comes through 🤔
The smaller nozzle meant for thinner paints equates out to a finer spray pattern, while the bigger nozzle for the thick stuff has a coarser spray pattern.
Running thinner paint through a big nozzle will have some issues.

Ole Red's perfect 😘

So the next thing to get lined out is the air supply. A nice air dryer and regulator coming out of the tank and a new hose that is only used for paint work. A hose that has been hooked to a compressor for any amount of time will have oil, moisture, and contaminants in it. So it was recommended to me to just get a dedicated paint hose and not use it for anything else. And even then, it’s probably good for so many hours of use until it needs to be removed from duty and another new hose taking its place.
Next is the filter at the gun and a small regulator at the gun to dial in the pressure.
