Can one of you 80 frame swap guys tell me why you don't cut those rear spring buckets loose and relocate them lower?

Seems like it would be way easier than building a body lift and trying to fill all the gaps.

@J Mack

lowtideride did, but you still end up with drivetrain fitment issues and need some height for running gear. Or at least Deo and I did with the 2UZs. He ended up with a body lift after all the work to drop the buckets. Might not be an issue with a inline motor? I couldn’t lower the engine anymore without maybe some low profile headers? and the top of the trans/Tcase is still very close to the body.

And you just gave yourself a 1-2” lift moving the bucket down. Less spring options at that point.

And you need some height to run bigger tires with the width anyway.

And I think my body placement is fine.

And self care first is what my therapist tells me.

And yes you’re pretty big shooter, I wasn’t criticizing just asking the question.

Don’t get your feelers hurt and start canceling orders for your parts because I asked a question.

Yea, that TachedOutoffroad is so easily offended! :)

Me, cutting those buckets out looked way too much. Especially after hearing how arduous the task was! I’m just a lazy guy. With just the right amount of scared!

The 100 was IFS, but the 105 offered outside the US had the same radius arm front as the 80 and 70.
