As long as the icechest doesn't block the airfllow, I think your OK.

Looks like the A/C condenser set up on the up-armored HMMWV

that whole thing will be closed from above,
the air comes in through the side, then out to the rear, so plenty of room for the icechest

Hmm.. I want more space under the hood and more weight to the rear,
The Batteries will also go to the back,

Someone on here put a 12 cylinder Jaguar engine in a 40 and had room for the radiator. What are you planning on running for a motor?

Radiator cannot equal that much weight, make sure you have some real good electric fans on that thing and some good temperature gauges. As long as your engine stays at normal operating temperature you should be OK. I have seen this on CJ5's with big engines that left no room for radiator, I think they were also mud boggers and did not want the mud clogging the radiator, do not know if they were road vehicles or not.

I got a brand new 383 with dry sump, I will use 2 electric fans, so 2 x 3000 cfm

What material did you use for your roll cage?

roll cage ... ok ... I know, looks a bit like water-installation, and you are right, 1 1 / 2 inch pipes, 1 / 4 inch wall, welding elbows,

Uh, that is going to be really heavy.:frown: Schedule 40 tube? No 4130 or other fancy alloy tube? How much do the "grilles" weigh? It looks like maybe instead of tires you should find a D3 Cat undercarriage for it?

Lets have some specs on the stuff.

roll cage ... ok ... sorry, 1 / 8 wall, (3.2 mm), weighs 78 pounds all together

I dont think I would like 2 whurring electric fans switching on and off behind my head....??????

A lot of work and complication to solve a nonexistant problem. Should work great so long as you are driving in reverse at high speed.

tried the rad in the back on a mud truck.the safety factor is not worth the gain.when you and your gear get covered with hot antifreeze you will see why.when your wheeling anything can happen and usually does.ive run a 501 caddy with the rad under the hood so im having trouble getting the point.who knows maybey this will be a new trend .

Now why didn't I think of this? I could have moved the engine forward another 2, maybe 3 inches, and left the firewall alone.

Do you think there would be any problem with someone strolling over and leaning on the tailgate?
