Just post some :mad:d@m pictures!

This thread would be way more exciting if you were just building a wheeler. A cheaply done SOA 60 ( on 33’s, rediculous ) for daily driving sounds like a train wreck for you and those driving near you.

This spiraled out of control just like the 80 series section about someone doing an engine swap with no prior knowledge.

But I say go for it on the LC if you have a backup ride while its getting chopped.

I daily drive a sprung over 60 on 37 inch swampers with an LS4 powerplant. Provided it was sprung over correctly with Hi-Steer and Chevy 1 ton steering parts and a different pitman arm...

So two deadly trucks in the same vicinity, great

It's been said for years that a SOA lift is so much cheaper than a standard, SUA lift kit. The truth of the matter is - it's not. You can do it cheaper than a SUA lift but it's dangerous and not recommended. To do it right, you'll be just as deep into it as if you bought a standard lift kit from the store.

You've got a lot of experienced people here giving their input - people who have done what you are trying to do. Listen to them. The last thing anyone wants is for you to do something to your truck that endangers yourself and the others around you. The hi-steer setups and SOA kits were designed by people who tested and engineered them for the consumer – there’s no reason to reinvent the wheel just for S&G or to save a buck or two.

Either be patient and save up to do it all right and once – or don’t do it all. And I mean all of this wholeheartedly. Most of the cars I lifted or wrenched on were on a college budget. It’s doable – you just have to save.

Good luck with your truck, and please keep us posted.

Lol i am kinda close
You all will have to wait a week, im going to start this project over my spring break and i will post pictures whether i mess it up or not. Also i wont be driving it on the road until i get it inspected so if it turns out to be a s*** show i will just use a different vehicle.

So dont worry about having a s***ty vehicle on the road or me killing myself or others ill make sure i get it state inspected before i drive it.

Also just so you guys know i have taken your advice and gotten the high steer and the ruffs stuff perch mounts

Man if only I had all the knowledge you had. I’d for sure have made it big and be paying someone to build my rig because I wouldn’t have the time to do it....... You know from going to the moon in my own built space shuttle.
