I had an air pump idler pulley installed about a year ago (desmoged stock 85 2F) and this past weekend the pulley snapped. The bracket looks fine but Im not sure where to get just a pulley so might have to replace the whole idler pulley system. Any idea why that could have happened that quickly (it is NOT a daily driver, few miles)? Have others seen? What is the highest quality replacement...another Manafre, TLC, or maybe another option?

I don't know that anyone has used enough of these to know if one is better than another. I think I have the MAF one on my FJ40 (EFI conversion) and it's working fine. I think your case was a fluke. Perhaps MAF will sell you just a pulley?

Specter Off-Road has one.
I got mine from them a loooooong time ago. It was still fine and tight after 220,000 miles.

Another option is seeing if McMaster-Carr has the correct size pulley since you already have the bracket:

There's a store near my house where you could find stuff like that. Check it out: Whisler Bearing Co. - http://www.whislerbearing.com/

Maybe there's something like that in your town. They have all the data for crossovers between manufacturers. They carry every kind of pulley and bearing you could imagine, the building takes up a city block. I think with arbor diameter and style, outer pulley diameter, and groove width & type, you'd be able to find a proper replacement.
