Hadn't noticed that! Completely by chance but dawns on me now there's a green Model A and a green C10 in the basement and a few other green Champion compressors.
Thought for a minute about turning around and taking pic of other side of shop but there's this. Damn, I never noticed!!
Just finished this "little" project today. Saw this on the YouTubes a few months ago, always wanted to try it. This is a birthday present for a friend, he really loves American flags.
This started out as a 2x12 that I found at my favorite local lumber yard (Eldredge Lumber in Portsmouth). Fun, interesting project, lots more work than I expected, but that's OK. At the end I really didn't want to wimp out and paint on the stars, and I hated the stars routed out with a Dremel, so I sharpened up my new Narex chisels and got to work.
Pretty happy with how it turned out, I think he will be pumped to get it.

I mentioned in my warehouse fire thread that I partially remodeled the tiny house in front of my shop seven years ago and moved my offices in there. I went without a stove in the kitchen until this year, determined to tackle the deferred maintenance of properly wiring the house. So this last summer I was able to finally move the electrical along far enough to finally put in a stove.
Ever since then I’ve been daydreaming about cutting up some angle iron and making some shelf racks for either side of the stove. Well last week the planets aligned and I was able to build the racks. All the shelving is castoffs or recycled pallet wood. Today I finished a drawer for the right side rack.
The plan is to make an overhead rack with a range hood as well, then disassemble everything to get the metal powderpainted.
The thick slabs of wood you see in the pics are remnants from the furniture guy who used to rent part of the North Hollywood warehouse from me. He moved out a couple of years before the fire, but we have stayed on good terms. I dumpster dive his place a few times a year, usually before camping trips. But I have also rescued dimensional hardwoods from pallets.

Very cool! The thick wood blocks remined me of a new task of wood kitchen stuff maintenance: wooden cutting board and wooden utensil love:

Thank you. It does, pretty funny. It’s from an estimated 300 year old oak that fell over.
I want to try one of those some day. I need to get the courage up to mix up that much $$$ epoxy at one time.

Yah, it was my first try, You Tube University. I followed Blacktail Studios. The resin was stressful but turned out to be easy.
At the end, I wet sand to 2200 and then buffed with 3M compound.

Blacktail does some amazing work.
Making some more progress on my English Wheel. I figured out what I wanted to do for the legs, set the working height I wanted, worked up some patterns, and cut the steel. Next steps are to making mounting plates so the legs will bolt to the frame and also feet for the legs.
