Glad you mention your problem with the shackle. Really bad if they sell you greaseable shackles that can't be greased. I will have to look for 3.5 inch elsewhere

No worries, it sounds like these are made by Karson (melted down ashtrays from India) and if I would have known that, I never would have bought them. I had a Karson knuckle kit once before and threw all the bearings, bolts, washers and nuts in the trash.....

Just my opinion, but I THINK ITS A STRONG AND NOTABLE ONE!!

Good on ya J for doing the research on source of metallurgy...

On another subject, regarding the carpet group buy, I recall a mention of possibly creating molded vinyl floor and cargo mats.... for the sixtyseries.... Any news?
Thanks

I can actually get the molded vinyl kits in grey, brown or black at anytime...Just trying to source them more local with a quicker turnaround. They have about a 3-5 week lead time currently.

EDIT.... for a better price

What did the OE shackles cost? I'm hoping you decide to carry these springs as i would like to follow your suspension route.

Had some time this morning waiting for material and started on the winch install....

The ComeUp needed some room so I obliged it. Had to stretch everything 1-3/8" to get everything nice and tidy. I think it turned out pretty well.

Remove bumper, bolts came right off and I was able to reuse the OEM hardware.

Found I needed to stretch everything....

Tow hook stretched.... and this is where I went into JASON MODE.......Sorry guys, I'll try and grab extra pics of the bumper mounts later...

Excellent work as usual. Really like how OEM it looks. Almost makes the rest of the front end tolerable. Almost!

Trying to understand the stretch? Did you just weld the factory brackets forwards?

It will look really good when the new grille is on. Nice work.

Looks great. I'm actually in the process of doing the *exact* same thing right now (along with a shackle reversal)...!!! Started Saturday, will hopefully finish up this week.

I don't yet have my winch, so I'm 'guess-timating' how far back I could mount the winch plate (so the winch body clears the lower part of the grill + valance)...and I wound up at +3" further out for the OEM bumper.

Glad to see that you made it work at only 1-3/8" out - I should have room to spare.

Thanks for posting the measurements and detailed pics, really helpful for me at this very moment.

Just depends on your winch, they are all different even if the height and width are the same. The angles on the winch body demand attention for a proper and tight install. The lower portion of the valance EATS a ton of room in relation to height and distance required outward. If you think you have enough, triple check... I bet you don't. I recommend buying a winch and building the plate to fit everything properly. It is a custom job for sure.
