So are we going to do the RR route? HAs anyone checked the snow in them thar hills lately? I found out that I will still be in my boot for my achilies during the Pig Party. It has me a little nervous about expedition style but I will do whatever the group wants.

SO, if we all are starting from the KOA Wednesday, can we get to the end of D1 by wed evening? If that is the case then we will be at the end of D4 on Saturday.

Is there gas and water fill ups on the way or are we packing for the full 4 days?

Added my info. Didn’t put anything in the “Trail” spot. Gonna be driving my Dodge to meet up, but want to try to catch a ride with others if/when we do any wheeling, if that’s going to work.(?)

Good questions!

I know Jim @J Mack was proposing relic Run '18 route, and I believe promised to get some maps.

@mbradshaw has sent me some great info about that route, but I need some quiet time to aggregate all that info. My gut says gas and water will be in limited supply. I am only running the stock ~20 gal tank in my Pig, so like you, the expedition style camp-to-camp has some concerns.

I have not checked on snow levels in the Uintas lately. I can, if there is interest, but my feeling was that people were interested in the Relic Run route. After work said they need me in France the week of 10 July my attention drifted from Pig Party prep.

We had to put down our cat yesterday, so my motivation level today is about 0.

PS: I updated the document - thank you for putting that together. We need to know how many people will be at the Museum Tuesday night.

Maps were ordered and have arrived, GPS files have been downloaded.

I haven’t committed to attending the event for the dates you set aside because of potential work commitments and don’t want to make a pledge I can’t keep.

If I am able to attend I will get with Kurt and take a few minutes with a highlighter and mark my maps with a route that looks doable with the current snow levels, my plan is completely open ended and all I want from this trip is a good time. With that said (A) don’t count on me as a party coordinator (B) if I show it will be last minute and my route out will be based on the most fun having and won’t include base camping.

Sorry to hear about your cat, my wife and I are talking about putting our big dog down soon and it’s never easy.

Now that I'm bummed out about the lost of life, let me get this off my chest. Due to circumstances beyond my control, we can't make this year's party. I'm needed here at home, just that simple. We'll be back next year. The wagon is ready and we're ready, just can't leave right now. I look forward to following along.

Sorry to hear about your cat, and sorry for what is going on in your world, Ron. I hope for the best.

So according to the internet machine, there is gas at the south end off I-80 just before the trail starts, and one at Grouse Creek. They are about 116 miles away from each other long the RR18 route. There is more gas off I-84 in Snowville which is approx. 90 miles from Grouse Creek. It is about 265 miles along the route into Brigham City. Snowville takes us about 18 miles off course.

Thanks man. He was a pretty awesome cat. I had him for 18 years. He used to sleep next to me. We would put him in the Pig with the dogs and go to the drive-in movies, the guy selling tickets was always like, “Oh, you brought your cat, eh?”

Sending positive thoughts your way as you deal with your big dog...

So far we have 16 people for the bbq.

That’s a party🤗. Is there a fund to donate to for the BBQ.

How many pigs will there be to BBQ and take up trail space? Anyone have a tally on that.
