Found a sweet new desk toy today, well at least I ordered this one. Couldn’t find them in stores, think this first hot wheels casting of the FJ60 had Covid manufacturing constraints. Wish they made the FJ62, but I’ll take an FJ60.

This one is a replica of the Japanese Nostalgic Car shop truck: MINICARS: Hot Wheels x JNC Toyota Land Cruiser FJ60 - https://japanesenostalgiccar.com/minicars-hot-wheels-x-jnc-toyota-land-cruiser-fj60/

Long story shortened… after realizing my property lines aren’t what we thought they were and that there was no way to build a decent sized garage, I went looking at alternatives for work space. While searching for some local commercial property to put a steel building on, I stumbled across a gentleman that was retiring and selling off his tool and die business. In today’s environment I couldn’t recreate what he was offering for the price. I made an offer and after almost 2 months, I finally closed and took possession of the property this week!

It’s 2,500 sq ft of climate controlled shop space that is already wired with an assortment of power options up to 3-phase, plumbed for shop air throughout, and even has a bathroom. The gentleman also left a 60 gal compressor (although it’s looking rough) and 30-ton press for me. Now I just need to start moving my stuff in.

Besides being excited about my new aquisition, the real point of this is…..If anybody is in the area going to/from whatever and you have an issue requiring more than a tool roll or just want a free place to overnight, you’re welcome to stop by. The shop is about 6 miles east of I-81 in Moshiem, TN.

Does anyone know a good detailer in the Concord area? I bought a recaro seat for my 80 but the previous owner was apparently a smoker.... It's in great physical shape at least

The vodka trick is good, for neutralizing the smell. But the nicotine will still leach out, stain stuff. Blech.

Bissell Little Green is worth its weight in gold, and costs under $100. I've saved so many pieces of trashed upholstery.

P.S. doooo nooooot use the included carpet cleaners. They're garbage and difficult to rinse clean. I suggest a bit of powdered Tide mixed with hot water. Seriously just a sprinkle. Washes clean, strong surfactants but gentle enough for every day laundry.

It's my secret weapon. I use it on hard surfaces mixed with diluted bleach and have saved so many things.

This is so cool. ♥️

All that overspray under the front valance and under the front fenders tells me all I need to know. Also love the glue under the rear badge, scotch taped fobs, ripped seat, etc. It's a cream puff for sure!

I noticed the headlights and some things in pictures, but they didn't do it justice. Overspray on every panel on the rubber seals and frame, inner fenders, painted over VIN stickers in the door jams, you name it. A/C wasn't functioning, loose front suspension, chinese tires out of balance, gouges in the passenger dash from PO's dog, yellow NAV screen. Sales rep actually apologized as I walked away.

They had it listed at $29k last week, been looking at 200's and many have been sitting on dealer lots for a few weeks and dropping list prices by 2-3k periodically. Thought this one may have had potential.

I got the same tires for my 62 at that same price. Pretty impressed with them. Wheeled them twice. They do well.

I like Coopers and this looks like a nice option. 10lbs lighter per tire for similarly sized Toyo or BFG.
