Sharing my score from last week. $50 for the lot including a fuse cover that's perfect and lots of other odds and ends.

I believe someone is making replacement covers, saw it somewhere here on MUD a while back.

Random dumb question - anyone know how BFG designates the letter sizing on their sidewall? Did they move to the larger font size after a certain production date? Doesn't seem to be correlated with size/sidewall height.

Looking for a set of KO2/KM3's and coming across this difference, I'm a simpleton and the big letters look cool.

Random listing pictures - ignore letter color, simply "font size."

IIRC different letter sizes on either side of the tire. If not that, then check the date code on the tire, they probably changed the styling after xyz production date.

I haven't seen any with different size letters on the same tire, only white vs black on either side, which is another question mark - some tires have black letters on each side.

Thinking out loud at work.

If I'm rembering correctly the white is smaller font and the black is larger. Some tires came black/black and some white/black but no white/white since the change.

I've been looking for a solution to take run off from my neighbor's property away so it does not run across my property. Saw used guard rail on Facebook Marketplace and gave it a shot. 14 13' 6' sections. All pinned down with 18" rebar with welded on caps. All that is left is back fill and clean up the extra dirt.

Met a recent Jeep to LC convert here in town. He just got a nice 100 series and took it out on a local trail. He had to cross a mud hole and it has caused his alternator to die.

With the 100-series alternator being mounted comparatively low, is there something guys do to waterproof them?
I can’t believe the 100-series can go anywhere you want except a water crossing.

Dialectric grease on terminals/connectors

Wash mud away ASAP. Mud ain't the same as water, and there's good reason this site is called Ih8mud, and not Ih8watercrossings

Walls going up, not bad for an old guy working alone. I was planning on a metal building but none of the companies will attach to another building. Also, tying the roof into the old shop would be a PIA. I looked at a DIY metal building company but after watching a couple videos of assembly was not impressed, lots of needed extras to tighten it all up. I priced out building it with 2x6 walls, OSB exterior sheathing and using metal siding and roof. It comes in cheaper than having the same size metal building installed.

I also priced out 2x4 purlins vs OSB sheathing with vapor barrier. OSB is slightly more but I will not need foil faced insulation on the under side of the metal to control condensation. That is a considerable savings. I can stuff a lot more insulation in 2x6 walls than 2x3 steel walls. Will not need foil faced insulation up against metal on walls either, the savings on it for the walls makes conventional framing the way to go for me. Inside walls will be 3/4" plywood, electric and air will be surfaced mounted, nothing in the walls. 3/4 plywood allows me to mount almost anything on the walls in the future. 5-36x52 windows on this wall, a shed roof will also come out 12' toward the house, covering the man door.

No plans to head south (past lol Norman) any time soon but if it could be dropped off in GSO at work (south elm/Eugene and I-40) and I could get that direction if it helps.

Maybe I could meet up with Forrest if you two cross paths

I need to get a truck bed full of parts for the 4R from @roadstr6 property. I haven't quite worked out logistics yet as it's been a stressful couple of weeks and neither of my vehicles are operable, really. But I'm thinking I'll rent a truck and try to get down there in a couple weeks. If someone hasn't resolved this by then, I'm happy to.
