I was going through a box of parts that my PO gave me and I came across an envelope full of pictures of my 40. In an effort to learn about the history of my rig, I thought I would post them up and see if anyone could identify anything from them, maybe the house or the shop will look familiar to someone? I want to warn the bezel police that these pics are old and once I took ownership, the bezel was corrected.

Does anyone know whose shop this is pictured? I know it's in California somewhere...

Great pictures! Can't tell you a thing about em though. Looks like another three 4o's at the house though. Maybe the shop is on their property.

The shop looks like the same contstruction as Paul Deckers in Petaluma but the surrounding area does not quite seem the same to me however, the similarities are hard to ignore.

cool pics! That blue one from Colorado was a repaint tho, blue grill up front...that or they were just going for the all blue look.

Definitely an LC shop of some sort, quite a few 40's and a 60.

I believe I know who it is, he has since moved his shop. His name escapes me know but many years ago he used to advertise in the Hemmings motor news. He had many FJ's for sale back then. I remember looking for a (Nordic and that may be it) and then the way of sending pictures was over fax:rolleyes: I may still have them someplace.

But I am sure I have seen the garage pic or another similar in the past.

His name escapes me also but his shop was in Buelton,CA Just off 101 Near avenue of the flags. Thats all I can remember other than the shop was on the side of his house in the gated or private road on the west side of 101.

I remember the PO telling me that the guy he bought from advertised in Hemmings and supposedly had about forty FJ40 in his yard for sale.

A- psycho,

I just got back from CH and didn't see single Cruiser. Where are you located?

I also think or thought it was Deckers

When you check out www.fj55landcruiser.com you'll see the same garage and even the same house on the background at the pic with the fj62

At some of the ads its says: "here in Santa Ynez, CA"

Santa Ynez isn't far from Buellton.

You guys rule! The ad for the 1971 FJ40 shows the garage with all the FJ40's lined up like in my picture.

Bob Cash ownes the shop that is pictured in the photos.
He can be reached at (805) 558-5437

But Cash isn't the same guy that used to advertise in hemmings? I think I have some old photos (polaroids?) from him and a photo-copied hand written list. Would have been around 1996-97. Does this sound right?
