Tow Vehicle

Not mine. .... but there is an estate auction near me that is accepting online bids only at www.rhleeauctioneers.com. One of the items is an extraordinarily clean 2002 F350 4x4, 7.3 PowerStroke, 6spd manual with 36K miles. At the time I am
posting it is still reasonable

WANTED:

The items below are only for utilizing a hitch carrier basket, so I'd love to not have to spend the $$$ to get tow-rated items. Please let me know if such things exist or if you have any of either to sell. Need them in the next couple weeks.

1. I need a 2" receiver extender so I can get my hitch basket out past the spare tire. I still need need to measure, but I'm thinking 18" due to how deeply the hitch is mounted in the 4x4 Labs bumper. This will keep me from having to move my spare from the swing out to the roof just to use the basket.

2. I also need a 2" receiver Hi/Lo adapter to get my hitch basket (when empty) below the level of my bumper swingouts. Anything over a 1" drop will work. Something like this:

I'd love to have a basket made to mount on my swing out ladder but that'll be way too expensive for the time I'd actually need it. It would also be too high and small for my normal needs.

@JohnVee if youre truck is going to be the only one you use the basket on, why dont you get a harbor freight, northern tool, or similar, and instead of the short tube, get a piece of tube that would extend it out as far as you need to clear the spare? Then you can use the high/low adapter (also avail from Northern Tool), and install that either female on top, or female on bottom, depending on how much clearance you need.

John, may have a spare #2 .... will have to see if I can find it ...

@stevezero If I read you correctly, I'd still need a long tube because of how deeply recessed the hitch is in the bumper. The Hi/Lo might get me just about 4-5 inches of extension when it's installed. Since it's only for travel, not offroad, the length of overhang doesn't really matter much to me. I could also use just the extension tube w/o the Hi/Lo if I know I won't need to open the rear hatch.

Anyone interested in a 4x4Labs bumper? I'm getting ready to place my order. I would rather split the cost of $250 shipping to Raleigh, NC.

@charleston was interested last year when I got mine. Of course, that was 2 new trucks ago for him.

FORSALE (Feeler): Does anyone local have any interest in my 80 series full length Baja Rack with custom mesh floors?
I have the light bar attachment for the front of it that will fit 4, up to 10" lights and the wiring harness for it...
I have bought a Prinsu rack so I can finally fit my 80 into the garage...
Here are some pictures of it and a pic of an FJCruiser with the same rack, light bar and lights...

@JohnVee The distance on my HF alum basket from the center of the hitch pin hole to the front of the basket is 8 1/2 inches. It sits kinda close to the rear bumper. The stock HF tube is thin, and is already rusting (1 + year old), so when its time.

My old tetanus booster carrier was given to me by a friend. used a longer piece of tube to bring it away from the bumper a touch, as well as had enough sticking out the back to have a female 2 inch box welded on. He also replaced the mesh with stronger mesh (old floor and tube had rusted really badly), and would use it to haul firewood while pulling his popup camper. he had it about 10 years before he gave it to me. i ran it for about 6 or 7 years, then gave it back to him last year.

Just FYI....I am working on a group buy for bumper kits....and have already been in contact with the company....shipping can be combined and already some of the best prices on kits. I will post more info in the next few days. Discount will be a flat amount per kit and shipping can be split amongst buyers if they are being shipped to the same area.
