Off to a Good Start. My '74 40 Series (6 Viewers)

I wanted to start to diagnose the fuel issue I had recently. I noticed one bank (on the driver side) was not getting fuel when I'd pump the gas. Then I noticed that while cranking it over, I wasn't getting it to fire at all. I tested spark on a few cylinders and I have ignition to the plugs but it won't fire.
While doing all that, I found this little bit of a mess developing.

I haven't done much with carburetors aside from unplugging jet screws with torch cleaning kit. Im not entirely sure what to look for.

One bank? Do you mean, perhaps, one barrel of the carb? That'd be normal.

While you're trying to crank and get it to start what's the fuel level in the sight glass

I guess that is what I mean. I know very little about carburetors, still have a lot to learn.

If you ever want to remove the lettering from the windshield frame, a stripe eraser wheel is nearly magic. The older the decal, the better they work. You'll probably have shinier paint under the decal after you remove it, too.

While you're trying to crank and get it to start what's the fuel level in the sight glass

I'm unable to see the sight glass when I crank it over. I'll need to get an auxiliary switch that I can use from the engine bay.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was able to remove the decal with a heat gun, plastic scraper and some spray of Goo Gone.

This the carb or the block?? Looks like the coolant plug on the block! Open it and flush coolant system is what its for.

The site glass between cranks appears to be about half full.

I disconnected the fuel line from the pump to the carb and put the hose in a bottle, I cranked it over for about 4 to 5 seconds and got a decent amount of fuel in the bottle. So the pump looks like its putting out. I reconnected the fuel line, dumped the fuel from the bottle into the carb, cranked it over and it fired right up and idled fine for about 15 seconds. The fuel level in the site glass after that now is about 3/4 full.

This (circled in red) is the only place I see fuel coming from when I turn the throttle linkage. It appears to be restricted or obstructed because the spray is inconsistent.

I was able to get it started, warmed up to operating temperature and it idles fine but there's still a miss or hesitation.
