I got a small batch made. Some shipped out today for test fitting and final feedback. I am very happy with the finish and the ability to consistently make the part over and over on our machine. If everything comes back good with no issues then we will make a full sized batch.

Got some feedback today with a pair of prototypes we sent out. Install was super easy and fitment was perfect. We also got some other feedback we will apply to this first large batch we will make. Right now I plan to start production on a large batch on Monday of next week. I want to tweak with the UV curing times a bit more to get it dialed in before I commit to full production. Here's a pic of the prototype installed. It got a little dirty but the ones we ship will be clean.

Amazing thread in terms of seeing your process. Me and my kids have been playing with a 3D printer... had no idea how complex you could get with production. Solid engineering.

First batch is done. We are working on product pics and plan to have these up on our website this weekend or early next week. Now that a full batch has been made, I was able to sit down and crunch the numbers. Profitability is long gone. What I'm shooting for is just a recoup of the materials cost. That puts me at $36 a pair. That includes shipping. If I can sell another batch this same size I get close to breaking even on my investment but I doubt the demand will get us there and I'm fine with that. It's been a great learning experience in new equipment and materials. Knowledge and experience in the business world is just as valuable as profit.

Yes. I will post a link to them for our website, etsy, and ebay so folks can have different buying options. They will be a bit more on etsy and ebay due to seller fees.
