Sometimes it pays off to work somewhere that has cool stuff. Too bad wood and plastic is all we can machine. We have done 1/4" aluminum before but that is about all our machine can handle.Pimp Cim.![]()
Note: When I was done and assembled the plate I realized I should have cut more of a profile to match the tcase on the passenger side of the vehicle. The result was I needed to grind off a bit of the plate where it contacted the tcase. I'd love to modify the drawing for this, but alas I have sold the truck and don't know how much. It wasn't much but just thought I'd note it here.

Split case 19 spline gear fits trans output. @Will Van if you want I can send in the gear with my main shaft if you have Dutchman confirmed. Maybe if we have several of the same work they will be more inclined to do it.
I also have NV4500 4wd tail housing and the HF2AV separated if anyone need measurements. Time to contact my friend to see if he still wants to make the adapter.

Yes it seems that way. If you figure out how to adapter the AA adapter kit that would be awesome because the 80 is next in line to ditch splitcase.Just to clarify, are you saying that the 19 spline shaft that would go into a split case (like from an H55F) is the same spline as the shaft from an A440F into an HF2A?
I've been back and forth on ordering the adapter plate and modified output shaft, with creating a one off adapter to work off the adapter I have from AA to the split case. With that I could just chop the spud shaft down and do a one off plate to mate them, as long as the ouput from the trans matches the input to the HF2A
Whats the price on the adapter plates from your friend BTW? I had found a place (alibaba) that quoted about $160 USD from china shipped for an order of 5, but hadn't puled the trigger yet.
I recieved this from someone with NWF:
"If you look at the Picture on the IH8MUD forum it looks like they used a standard 30* tool and cut the splines that way, it may have worked but its not the proper pressure angle and they will have very little tooth contact. The 19 spline is a very deep spline with a very flat root you can see theirs is not."
It may work, but be different, and may have issues long term, I think maybe it is something to look at though.
What picture is NWF referring to when they say “If you look at the picture on the IH8MUD forum it looks like they used a standard 30* tool...”?
Awesome! Want me to modify the file and resend? I chucked my parts HF2A a few months back (silly me) so cant modify it and check here but am happy to send to you. You could just print full scale on paper and cut it out to see if I clearance enough.Yup. Here’s the spot.

How’s it looking? I’m on the fence for selling my project 80 or doing something fun with it...push me in the right direction pleaseMy buddy was going to pull measurements and adjust the file.
Nothing happening yet. I’m in no real hurry as my project is only a frame with a cab sitting on it at the moment. His wife is prego with a due date next month so I’m not pushing him. How’s it looking? I got my shaft back from Dutchman today.

Not really. Will sent in his input gear with his and they did ours at the same time. Ended up being $212 or something like that with shipping. I will probably get another one done at some point to have for for the 80.Any issues getting them to do it?
