Luke , did you get those sliders from IPOR?

Yes, i asked them to make them one inch wider. Also to make the plate removable so i can either have it Line-x or I may just use 3m grip tape

Tint looks good, Lou.

Yes, it came out great....but if you ended up with those cool Flip up
windows you probably would want to swap out just the rear door windows and then tint....and it would look ok.

So I have this serious issue or obsession with lights. One of the first mods I did was to have ChefJ convert my Depo's to HID
projector lights... and they rock.. We used 35 watt ballast. After buying a few LED lights from Nick at Expedition Lighting
Systems and a discussion about up grading my projectors... I had a package delivered... 55 Watt Ballast and a new OEM size bulb which should give me a 20 to 30% increase in light output...
Wrapping up the roof rack project I mounted a Blue Sea 12v plug in the rear for a future fridge

You don't say. Hahaha.

Hadn't seen the Blue Sea 12v plug, and wanting to add another in the console, so checking it out.

Pretty straightforward install, assuming.

Absolutely....just add power and ground... The relay box I had made came with a hot wired 12 volt plug but it was not a flush mount so a quick trip to Marine West for the flush mount

Speaker Removal for sound improvement

I installed Iinfinity 3.5 Kappa speakers in the factory dash location and also in the rear ceiling location as part of my stereo upgrade. Along with 6.5 CDT components in the doors, CDT front stage tweeters in the a-pillars, CDT center stage on the dash and a shallow 10" Alpine sub. It's a kick ass setup but I felt like something was missing...so yesterday I cut the speaker wires to the front dash speakers and this changed the whole sound quality.. I think the front dash speakers were washing out the 6.5's and now you can really hear the quality of the CDT speakers...If anybody needs front dash speakers ready to bolt in PM me...the only mod was to Velcro the amp to the ECU for clearence on the passenger side and I cut the tabs off the OEM speakers and JB Welded them to the Infinity's
Asking $50.00 and will post them in the for sale section tonight
Here's a link to what they sell for at Amazon

Finished wiring up the backup camera.... with the help of one of the techs at work to figure out which wire to tap into .. He printed out the connector which is in the drivers kick panel.. Pin #19 a Red and Black wiring .. Tap into it with a wire tap connector....
Then I tackled the grab bar.... Could not have figured this out with the great write up by Koffer.. I also installed new/used seat belt height adjusters... both of mine were not working.. Picked them up from Cruiser Parts

With the new iPhone 5 having the revised plug my Pro Clip dock for the phone no longer worked..having a couple conversion adapters ( iPhone4 to iPhone 5) laying around I was able to remove the iPhone 4 plug and JB Welded the iPhone 5 adapter in place....I also picked up this LED light at Costco for $7.98 that plugs into a USB
Finished the sliders with some 3m Outdoor Tread ... Not sure how this stuff holds up over time but with these being step sliders ... decided better to be safe then sorry

I need to unsubscribe to this thread... I don't think I've ever installed a single thing as well as you've done your entire rig.

Very nice!

Thanks guy, I've got this truck about 90% done .... I need to save some more coin for the motor, looking rebuild the top end and follow Ryan with a Turbo setup .... Something like the Stage 1 setup from EMS .. Just looking for a mild bump in HP

Have a line on a 2UZ with 20k for $4k, Lou.

Hahaha.

If and when you're driving to Austin, better let me buy you lunch on your way through Tulsa.

You should grab that engine... is it out of a Land Cruiser or LX470? . Slee indicated they are some slight differences in the 2UZ engines and said the Tundra 2UZ engine doesn't work as easy ... not sure why
I had a line on a brand new 2UZ that was up at the Lexus Eastern Area Training Office, it was just sitting in the training bay.. bolted to an engine stand .. I asked about the engine and they said they were going to give it away.... I followed up with letter and calls but they would not give it to me . I believe it went to a school or most likely one of the guys that works there.... I had a long conversation with Christo about the conversion cost $15 to $20k so that's why I may do the Turbo.... My engine currently is running great and I have fixed all the normal oil leaks but like us all, the madness of the next mod never stops
If I make the trip to Austin I'll stop by and bring my hard drive :):)

Out of an LC. Can't determine year, but have requested more info (VIN and shipping) via email.
Oddly, either gray LCs are more prone to roll overs than other colors, or this may be a repeat sale.

I will call Christo before buying anything, because I know he'll tell it like it is, wether it's what I want to hear or not.

All of this regarding the next project, which this would be for. Need to come to grips with the harsh reality that I'm STILL in the "bolt on" crowd, and that outsourcing is expensive. $20k is $20k, but relatively speaking, well spent for Slee's involvement.

Considering Lexus and Toyota, only, the perception of the most power was in my GX470, much more so than the what butt dyno perceives the 1UR in current GX460, but such a dramatic change from the previous generation, it may be in my head.

I feel the 2UZ is the pinnacle of Toyota's engineering in the same way the 80 is, respectively to purpose, but have yet to drive the 2UR, which Lexus rep claims an addictive experience.

I've too much invested in this 1FZ to abandon, now and for off road, think much more than what it's putting out in it's current form may cost me axle after axle, considering the 37s. I considered it a sign that when typing an "I'll take it" PM to purchase a new SC, that was on its second listing and tenth bump ( otherwise, no interest seemed to be expressed for ) that I received an email notification of its "sold" status, before hitting send.

Mr. T must be looking out for my axles. Hahahaha.

By the time the Austinian's get this turbo dialed in, I may sing a different tune. Hahaha.

Thanks for the pic. :)

Leave the CPU. Bring the friends. Hahaha.

We have horse racing in Tulsa (hahaha), Hard Rock Casino, and what used to be the most elite shopping in the world......seventy years ago. Hahaha.
