What would that look like do you have a picture! Thank you!

Mine with that combo, and a 3" lift:

Could I do same size without the lift?

If your rear quarter panel wheel wells have not been cut, 33's would rub the sheet metal if the shocks move very much. Most people do at least a 2-1/2" lift to run 33's. Oh, and some previous owner cut my wheel wells; notice how they are not smoothly rounded any more.

Is there anyway to do a lift on it without spending 1500 for new suspension. If not what's the biggest size you think I can go bone stock!

from that "flex" pix you posted, a new suspension would probably be a good thing...it not flexing, means it probably doesn't ride all that great either.

thinking about getting these 18 inch TRD with as big of a tire I can get on them without lift.

just noticed, looking at this pic again, the seam is cut at the running board, the passenger door is 1 piece where the driver door is a 2 piece door.
it has had work done to it to make it look pretty,
question is what kind of shape is it really in?
you can see the rust trail on the passenger side in a similar place to the driver side.
is that a hole in the cowl? straight into the glove box?

You were about to drop 27k on that other cruiser....spend the 1,500 on a good suspension setup
After seeing the shape of this one I realize it's not the one I want to spend much on I want to use this to learn everything I need to know about the fj and than buy one that's in good shape to spend money on

I said I am planning going larger on the wheels though :/

a larger wheel with smaller sidewall will make the ride of the 40 worse, no matter how the new wheels look.
