Need advice/comment/concern on a FJ40 I am buying

Hair trigger...in your post 30 you said you bought it for $10k. Now you say you’re just ‘looking’ at it. I’m confused.
Is it just me or does the rear sill on the blue one look odd? The space between the bottom of the ambulance door and top of the rear cross member is really small. I also don't see the usual seams (i.e., where the rear quarter panel meets the b-pillar). Is it a fiberglass tub or something?
@Ali Ali Ali I strongly recommend you slow your roll a bit. Do some research on FJ40's, learn about the common problems, etc. It will save you tons of money in the long run.

the blue 1979?
my WAG is it has more than 57,000 miles, you realize back in 79 the odometer only has 5 digits, when it hits 100,000 it rolls back to zero and starts again
it has a very bad re-paint.
valve cover is wrong for a 79, it should have a screw cap
what color is the firewall? it should be body color.
hard to see but it looks like the dimples on the rear quarter panels are gone, which means there was bodywork done.
it has early 70's front doors on it
the rear quarters have also been cut, the lower at the rear is gone, where the reflector should be, also the wheel opening cutout is too angular, it doesn't look right
there are rust trail below the driver door.
rad overflow and washer tank are missing
rollbar missing?

Blue one looks too butchered to be a good start. 79 and up is not a good starter fj40. Go older.

@John I talked on the phone with owner and agreed on a price of 10k and had a six hour drive and I was talking to you guys on the way there.
typing this while I eat McDonald's with the seller. Car drives well body needs some work. I have 20k to build my dream car.
I plan on doing the following right away.
new trans
New suspension
Wheels and tires
And a fresh paint
And alll new interiors

Half way home team!! Can you guys recommend a suspension to me. I want something that will turn the fj40 to a smooth operator. So I can drive it daily to work.
