I agree Nolan, I'm a diehard SD40 fan.. And easy to work on as a bonus :)

Here's a couple of my favorite Aisan single barrel pics: it's a D40 with the fuel shut off.

Here's the one one Sage with the period correct Aisan grey plate(what JP is looking for). Although not period correct, I like the brighte blue better...

Found my old license plate frame that I had on my 81 FJ40 back in the day. I think I got it from Man-A-fre. I'm going to use it and a set of 65 plates my in laws had on there 65 rambler. Can't believe they still had them...need to go to DMV...

OK all you SD40 single barrel guys......has anyone come up with a replacement for this yet? It's been way to long....I think there are a lot of us single barrel guys out there.

I just noticed that 097 does not have one. They are no where to be found so.....

I may have an option for us.

Heads up on the gasket, you can still get the direct replacement 17848-60030. Got them from a forklift parts website: www.liftpartswarehouse.com. Stocked up on a few recently, only $6.

Yeah, I tried to have them done a while ago and just to make the tool set was $3500.

Surely there's gotta be 700 F135 owners you can find? :D

That would be nice.

Special Thanks to @drock2 for the information, I have a new OEM carburetor to air cleaner gasket. Bought several for future use.

I've had a friend working on a small project for me. I have a few extra top hold down hooks "top and back of cab" and I want to have some extras made from stainless steel. It's still a work in progress. We're not there yet but getting closer.

Top two are the original ones of course.....

Replaced the newer orange lenses with the originals from the 45. I used "Nu Finish Scratch Doctor" to clean up and I think it worked great. I've tried several products on lenses and this works the best so far....

Mark,

The hooks look great, if available I will need a complete set! I know there is a big market for the cab j hooks as they are notorious for breaking!

Brian, working with my CAD guy who is doing the machine work and he's having trouble. I thought this would be easy.....ill keep you posted..

OK, I finally was able to get out and see and old friend who's in his eighties and still drives his 65 LPB almost everyday. He was the previous owners of my white 45. I took the 66 out for a joy ride. It was as good for me as it was for the 45.
