Well, it's been a while since I updated. I built front and rear bumpers and added sliders... Then I bent the crap out of my front bumper at the dunes. Pics to come.

Here's the rear bumper waiting for the swing out to be built.

So, once again it has been a while since updating this thread. I left off with having just finished my rear bumper. I have since monstalined the bottom 1/3 of the cruiser, trimmed the rear wheel wells ( separate thread) and I finally made my rear tire swing out. I am also almost done with a rear sliding drawer set. I'm not too happy how they turned out. All of my tube was bent in multiple directions. And I wasn't able to get all of it straight, and that bothers me, so I will be building another set soon.

Any more details on that trail shot of you breaching like a killer whale out of the river? Great photo!

F@$kin awesome tire carrier budday!
Thanks Buddy! How's that front axle build coming? Did everything fit together correctly? All your measurements were spot on I assume. Let me know what measurements you used, turns out I'm a few inches short of axle housing on the long side of the rear axle to make a solid conversion. So I too will be ordering a 9.5" front housing.

I was up with my neighbor and some other guys we wheel with (jeep people) snow wheeling. we were at an old quarry in that photo which is a seasonal pond more or less. Everything was iced over and they were egging me on saying the snorkel probably wasn't even hooked up and talking trash about the "toyota" they bet me I couldn't fjord this little hole that was iced over and I did and they where silent. Then they asked me to do it again so they could get pictures, and then they wanted to go through it....in the land cruiser LOL. At its deepest the hole was just over my headlights and tail lights. Which I would say is about 5 ft of so.

Any updates lately? You ever get over the mountain? I'm in Redmond and would love to crawl around your truck before I cut my front end up.

Jason

Overdue Updates: got the rear storage done and carpeted, foamed ( glued high density soft foam to all the sheetmetal I could to keep any possible noises down...I hate rattles and noises) here are some pics. Worked perfect for camping at the dunes for 3 days 4 nights. Rolled my self-inflating sleeping mats over the top and a heavy sleeping bag and it was great even with a crappy back and numerous other injuries.

Hey, @strictlyRUM I do get over the mountain quite a bit. I've been house hunting over there for months now. I was actually in Bend Sunday (Father's Day) looking at another cruiser for sale. I don't drive my cruiser over there however...not very economical at a Tank and a quarter there and back. You're welcome to come down here and "crawl around" I catch people looking at it/ under it fairly frequently.
