Maybe consider going for a reduction starter on the SBC to drop some draw and get faster spinning. Since they are based off of the Nippondenso style starter it's a good homage to the Toyota it's in.Thanks for all the input. Yes, I have used Edelbrock carbs before and I am aware of the Engine Masters deal with the spacer on a dual plane manifold. I was into cars since high school. I had a 1978 Camaro with sbc that I turned into a Z28. I also had a 1969 Cutlass with a hopped up big block Oldsmobile. Fun stuff.
I finally removed the awful fender well headers. I gave up on trying to make it run for now. I plan to clean up the frame and reinstall the factory shock mounts. Then clean the motor. I also need to repair the bent motor mount.
