Build My 1975 lazy style revival thread

One horrible shock mount removed. Cut off wheel and some pry bar action and it fell off. Now to attach the oem mount.

Front end stripped down. Need to rebuild the passenger motor mount and reattach the oem shock.mounts. Then it's time to clean and paint everything.

Got the front shock mounts bolted in place. Cleaned and painted the springs as well.

Cleaned and painted some of the front frame. It's a lazy day as I am tired of sweating my butt off.

Just more cleaning and painting. In the 2nd pic, you can see how bad the motor mounts are bent. I will be repairing them soon.

Gave the 327 a rattle can rebuild. I could not stand the orange against the Sky Blue body. So now it's Ford blue.

I like black on my small blocks these days, it hides the oil leaks

I fixed the drivers side motor mount and added a big gusset. Should be good now. The motor is lifted in the pix cause the other side mount is out.

Repaired and beeded up the passenger side motor mount. Got tired of the old oem mount so I cut the rivet heads off and chiseled it off. Looks much cleaner now.

With some wrestling the motor mounts are both in and supporting the weight. Not my best work, but it will be fine. Got the front axle painted too. Ran out of paint.....so off to get more and some lunch.

Front suspension all back together. Ram horn style exhaust manifolds bolted down. Added the intake and carb for effect. Should make more good progress tomorrow.

Done for the day. It's resting on the front axle again.

It's a lazy day so just some cleaning and painting stuff. Making a list of needed little items.

Intake and exhaust manifolds are torqued down. Had to install a freeze plug to block the old road draft tube opening in the rear of the block. New thermostat and sparkplugs are in as well.
Switched gears and pulled apart the front drums. It looks like a haunted house inside. I think this 40 sat for longer than I was told.....lol

Got the front parts ready for reassembly. Still need to spruce up the hubs.

Got the front wheel bearings repacked and brakes replaced. Forgot to take any pics of the new stuff. Anyways, it's back together.
Moving on to the rear. It's apart and new parts are ready. I am going to pull the 3rd member so I can install new axle seals and fix the diff leak.

Swapped out the rear brake cylinders for new ones. Bolted on the fenders, so i can make patch panels for the holes left from the previous headers. More fun tomorrow.

Tearing into the rear end this morning, I discovered something good. It's got a limited slip installed. Bonus. Looks like pulling the c clips is the same as usual, so back to the tear down.
