Probably the reason it’s running rough is cause you put over 7 gal of oil in there 😵‍💫. How did you even get that all in the engine ?

Quarts quarts. Sorry. I’ve been doing spackle and I’m in gallons mode.

Edit was a simple fix.

CEL and VSC lights came on. Gonna pull the codes and see what’s up. My guess is I got gunk on the o2 sensor when I did my annual wool wax spray down.

Pulled it. p0430

CEL came and went for a bit. Looks like the WW burned off now. Clear of codes.

Meanwhile I loaded it up with 5 cans of wool wax. Paid special attention to the little holes in the hood and tailgate. Feels good.

About to roll 250k miles. What's up on the maintenance schedule?

Just greased the driveshaft, spark plugs, oil change, tranny fluid, suspension, pads, rotors, tires. bearings were done recently.

Ok here we go again.... just made a big order:
- front tie rods (inners & outers & boots)
- front wheel bearings (full kit)
- rotors, pads all 4 wheels
- new ebrake kit
- upper control arms, both sides
Wish me luck. If this goes well maybe i'll tackle the exhaust tick & try to score a few more MPG out of this thing.

I got 14.6mpg on a 100-mile drive today. Back from 10.4 logged when I first got it. I must be doing something right. 34's, roof rack, drawer system, 1.5" lift and all.

Meanwhile looking back at my POs build thread. He did wheel bearings at 222k. It’s at 252k and needs them again. My guess is the tie rods (which have play) and upper control arms (which have crappy bushings) are the culprits. Glad I’m tackling them both.

Any other guesses?
