My '79 BJ40 "Alby". Registered and on the road for the last 41 years! I'm the third custodian!
KMS, unknown but greater than 350,000, no restorations, no rebuilds, a bit of dodgy paint work and panel repair here and there; and the original B motor.
Lived most of his life in the high country - Mansfield, Victoria, Australia.

This one USED to be mine...
Now @jmlockwood is cruising in it and making all kinds of nice upgrades!!

Glad he was the buyer...

This is probably my favorite pic.

Here's my 1975 on the day I got her. She used to belong to John Denver, but now she's all mine. I was not a big fan of yellow, but now I am 100% in love. As others have stated, it is just such an iconic looking vehicle.

This old workhorse was the second FJ45 we used as a farm sprayer, a lot of bits were swapped from an earlier one that folded in half. Never missed a beat and was replaced 12 or so years ago with an 8 tonne Isuzu. It's been a really useful donor for the 2 I have saved - I fishoiled the chassis in the early 00s and its still pretty sound, will possibly end up under my 69. I left it with a friend.

I almost bought a brand new mustard '83 FJ40 from Toyota West in Las Vegas, NV. Otherwise I'd be able to post a photo. I ended up buying a new beige '84 FJ60 which better suited my needs for a growing family. They were side by side on the showroom floor. Hard decision.

Beautiful 40. Did you buy this one from Jason Carlisle a while back? I think I remember it when it was unrestored.
