DONE, is really satisfying, right?!? ;)
Now i wanna do some of that! But what's the ARP's? something i've missed? clearly...

Good job on the ring protection... added to my list... and protection for the driveshaft on the pinion. and...and..and...

You can never have enough protection!!!

ARP's are ARP high strength studs that are made for the lockout hubs on front and rear hubs on a FF axle. I'll show some pictures when mine come in.

 Still loving the lower stance

When I went to fix my birfields after memorial day, I knew that my inner axle seals were blown, along with my trunion bearings, but I didn't have the dough to fix them. I recently had the money to buy the kit so I rebuilt my front axle, with marlin seals, put my locked diff in the rear and installed ARP hub studs while I was in there. I have been driving for a couple of days now and I can definitely tell that the locker is there but it does not interfere with my driving style. However, when I installed the locked diff in the rear I noticed that it had a loose pinion ( play up and down ) so I attempted to tighten the nut since I just replaced the pinion seal. I put my 1/2" breaker bar on there ( 4ft length ) and tried to tighten the nut but lifted my body off the ground with no movement. When I drive, I can hear a distinct whirring noise. I'm assuming this is because of the excessive play, but I've never driven a truck with a rear locker. Is this a sign of a diff about to blow?

Here are a couple of pics of the ARP studs installed. :grinpimp:

Whats your front spring set up?

Whats your front spring set up?

Stock 60 leafs right now. Shopping for new ones to replace the bent ones on your rig?

Oh yeah, the rear diff got quieter but leaks now. About to buy a new(er) e-locker now.

Yeah I'm picking up a new (used) set this weekend. Hopefully getting things all squared away and going wheeling Sunday. I'm just trying to figure out if I should put my long AALs back in which make it too tall for my liking or leave them stock and hope they dont bend again.

I had the long AAL's in there before and after replacing the broken main leaf, I took the AALs out of both sides. I like it better with flat stock springs, lower and more stable. Don't do the AAL's unless you've got a bunch of weight up front ( big bumper and winch with dual batteries).

other than change a seal...............nothing has been done to mine.

Was that what was making your case leak at the end of CMCC? How was the drive home having to pour gear oil into your case?

Thats what I was doing when I bent my front packs. I think I might resurrect a leaf from my old front packs to put into my new packs. Maybe cut down each main leaf to fit between the stock 2nd and 3rd leaf, I dont think it'll have as much of an effect as an AAL but hopefully stop them from bending again. I just dont want to have to go through this again :o

Cant make Fall Gathering either:mad: Going to Rausch for the weekend of October 16th. Hoping to get new shocks on before then, also hoping to get a new rear diff in before then:grinpimp:

you need a new crush sleeve on your pinion shaft. you should check backlash for you ring apinion after putting a new one in. i would just get a new to you 3rd. i gots lots. 3.73 and 4.11

Yeah, I know. While I'm in there I might as well change the carrier bearings and swap the R+P over to 4.88. I'll keep the old diff around until I can do that, but for now I've got something more grandeur in mind:grinpimp:

I'll let y'all know as soon as I can pick it up.

While I'm at it though, does anyone have a picture of a 60 cable locking diff's actuating mechanism? I'm curious to see how it compares to what I'm putting in.
