Ho-Lee-s***e.
I like your truck and your dedication to the build but, damn. Super glad I managed to get through school with almost no debt. Sorry dude. At least it's only two semesters left for ya.

Yeah, it's a s*** ton of money. With my double major program the projected starting salary is 70-80k, so I should be able to pay it off relatively quickly, but it's still a ton of money.:crybaby:

Dude ........thats what I have left on my mortgage!
That would also buy a lot of ARB's too!
Hope your doing well.
T <')))><

 It would buy TONS of ARB's!!!!

Are you back in Utah for the season? Your 'mud activity has spiked in the past couple of days. How was your summer?

Good to hear from you!

Back in Utah just in time for the first snow here. Summer was good fishing...however, we had 68 days of straight rain.....
Its nice to relax a bit...
I bought a project 40 to keep me busy this winter till the snow gets deeper. Glad to see you are still rollin.

Sweet, another toy! What are your plans for it?

That is some expensive school dang man. That's about what I have left on my mortgage to Sounds like you got a good plan for it though. And I was complaining about shelling out 4k a semester out of my pocket for school. I'm a senior this year to so glad to be almost done.

Looking at SOA, Keepin the 2f, sliders, stock rim on 33 x 9.5, full body work and paint, soft top and hard top maybe 60 springs in rear and flip front.
looking for a little toy for MOAB.
I just went down there last week and ran Poison spider trail and metal masher in my 60 with a couple friends. lots o' fun. Now I will have another cruiser for those who cant make the drive out from the east coast to cruise moab in the spring .....now you can fly out and borrow!! LOL!

 You should start a rental companay!!

How close to Moab are you in Utah? Wherever you are, I'm sure it's closer than I am to my nearest wheeling venue:crybaby:

its about 3 hours down the road....however, I have great wheeling 5 minutes from my house too.
I just like the slick rock and red rock of moab.....Its like being on the planet MARS!
Have you been here?
always an open invite here for ya!

I have not been there. I would love to get out to the west coast but I keep having things that get in my way, like jobs, or a lack of jobs, repairs to the truck, time, etc. I'd like to get out that way this summer but I've gotta start saving for the big move after college.

Thanks for the invite Tom, hopefully I'll be able to take you up on it!

Guess where this is gonna go:grinpimp:

Plug: 12Volt Guy is awesome. Him and I exchanged a number of emails discussing my options and he let me send custom dimensions for where I wanted to mount this. I cannot speak highly enough of his work, this panel is AWESOME!!!

SWEEEEEEEEEEET! IT TELLS TIME TOO!

that will look perfect right in the pocket.

Looks awesome, Johnny! Did you go for upgraded inners up front?

Sent from my Droid Tapatalk

Thanks man! Hopefully it'll work as well as it looks!

I've only got a rear locker for now. When I find another and throw it in the front I'll upgrade to longs at the same time.

Finally collected all the parts for my conversion, just gotta finish the wiring harness. Bought the rear e-locked diff from a fellow GCLCNY member for cheap, bought a factory locker harness for a 97 LandCruiser that plugs into the diff and goes up about 4' from there and would plug into the factory harness in the truck. Bought these parts from toyota, longer studs that are required for the housing and the cover, position switch and bolts that were missing from my diff. Here's the parts list:

2 91mm long studs - # 90116-10124 - $3.49
2 51mm long studs - # 90116-10075 - $1.29
3 cover bolts - 91651-60820 - $.95
cover - 41456-60010 - $46.70
switch - 84222-12010 - $84.85

Plan to rebuild the actuator and seal it up, then will fab up a harness using parts from a 92 harness ( hopefully ) and slam it in. Should be sick!!

Gonna use this thread, by clownmidget, to rebuild my actuator:

Wired up the locker today:bounce::bounce: Haven't got it installed yet but I built the harness out of a 92 FJ80 harness, using a couple of connectors and a bunch of wires. Installed the new switch and cover and the actuator works flawlessly:grinpimp: Here are pictures of the two diagrams I used, one from Inchworm, the second from 12VoltGuy. The Inchworm diagram has the colors for the factory locker harness I used and the 12VoltGuy diagram has the connection locations on the 12VoltGuy DPDT switches:

Here are a couple pics of the actuator installed on the diff. Has a broken bolt on the main actuator cover, but it seems to be solid. It'll have to get fixed later Installed the new indicator switch and cover as well.

Looking awesome so far!! Have to finalize the length of the middle harness to lead up to under the dash, then I'll get the whole thing installed!! Should be later this week, got three more finals to finish:bounce::bounce::grinpimp:

That is so cool.....
You are going to love having that thing in there!
Cant wait to hear what you have to say after the first trial run on the trail.

looking good.;)

Thanks Tom! I wish I could have taken video, but my phone sucks. The coolest part is when the LED turns on to show it's locked.:grinpimp:

I'm not sure if I'll have it in and be able to go wheeling this season but I will most definitely be drifting:steer:

Installed the e-locker yesterday. I am not sure if anyone has ever retrofitted an e-locker into a 60 FF housing before, but god damn the clearances are close. There is no more than 1/4" clearance between the actuator motor and the u-bolt and I had to sacrifice my PS rear shock as it was in the way, but other than that, everything went swimmingly. I extended my temporary harness by 10 feet to go between the axle and dash, but that was about 5ft too long. I wanted to make sure the harness wasn't too short but didn't want to go measure as it was cold out. Oh well, everything works, just need to finish fitting the switch panel into the dash. Maybe I'll get that done this week:hhmm:

Anyway, here are some pictures of the e-locker install. First is the locker with my long spline shaft slid in.

Housing ground out on left side for locking collar. Longer studs installed next to ring gear slots and next to ground section for the actuator.

Diff installed with harness. I zip tied the harness to the e-brake cable. Works well thus far! Kinda hard to see in this picture but the actuator motor is right next to the u-bolt as mentioned before. Immediately below that is the shock mount cut and bent out of the way. Left that small project unfinished.
