Do the methods account for the front hub bolts on 100 series LC/LXs? Is that even an issue? NM, answered my own question. I'm an idiot

Alright so I’m pretty well set on method mr312’s in the 18” size. They are +18 so I used that offset calculator and here’s the output. I’m on Ironman foams all around with 2866 springs and factory tb’s. I think I’ll be cool obviously may need a pinch weld hammer here and there but nothing crazy. Gonna probably leave the center caps off and have the dust caps powdercoated and use black nuts

I have 275/70r18 ko2’s currently but I’m interested in potentially going to a 295/70r18 to close some of the wheel well gap and get some additional sidewall height. The falken At3w’s are super nicely priced at $250 but I really like the km3’s. Think the 80$ difference per tire is worth it. Or do I do 295/70r18 ko2’s

Sorry, just torn

It’s tough to beat ko2’s out here on the west coast. I’m a big fan, and they perform well in our nasty rocky dry terrain. Opinions seem to vary regionally. I may be mixing sizes up in my head, but I think the 290/70r18’s will rub a bit, i ran them for a while and had to pound down the pinchweld and would run the fender tab, up top, at full bump.

side note, i’d go for a 17” rim instead of an 18”

I’m playing with the numbers but a 17” in this model with 0 offset, 8.5 width and 4.75 backspace seems out of range. The 285/75/17 tire sounds enticing though. Pretty much a 34x11

Checking in again...any lc guys (non ahc) run the 295/70/18 on +18 offsets without monster lift?

there is @kenreiten that uses ahc on High with upgraded rear springs and shocks that is on 35s.

edit: sorry didnt notice non ahc. as for lifts, i have a ironman TBs cranked up with ome heavies in the rear and im clearing 35s. dont know what "monster" lift means

nice setup man! are these the method 304 double standard wheels? I was thinking of getting method 304 18x9 +18 offset on 295/70 r18 MT'S. You think i'll have an issue? What tire size you running?
That’s rub city ..try to get +30 offset wheels if you want to run 295.

I literally posted this setup 20-30 posts ago. This isnt one of those "go search" things, but all that info is in this thread, by me and others... you dont even have to search, just read through what others are running. I do not rub, but you will rub on the bumper if you dont have an aftermarket bumper. Obviously you need to do all the normal stuff necessary to run larger tires as well.

Not true, see above.

Old bump, but I was looking through the threads because I couldnt remember what offset I bought (LOL).

Heres how mine sits right now with 295/70/18s and +18 offset. How much it pokes out is back a couple pages. I am not into that bro look, just a nice, tough looking truck and for me it looks perfect. But I would have happily gone +25 if they were available as well.

Sick setup! I’m about to buy some methods too for my lx470. Would +25 poke more outwards than a +18? Sorry so confused with offsets…

+25 would poke less than +18. Stock is +60. That means the mounting surface of the wheel is 60MM OUTBOARD of the centerline, a smaller positive offset would push the mounting surfact closer tot he centerline of the wheel. So +25 is only 25mm outboard, +18 is even less at 18mm. Negative offset start going the other way from zero, that means the wheel mount surface is INBOARD from the centerline which is where you get those lippy hotboi wheels.

+25 is the ideal offset for a 100 but +18 is fine. +12 like SCS F5's is where you get into dangerous territory with rubbing.

Thanks for all this information! I wouldn’t know and I’m new to this. So you think on a 2” lift 295/70 r18 MT’s would clear and no rub on a +25 offset wheel?

Agreed. I would have went +25 if it was an option but it wasn't when I bought my wheels. That being said, my +18's do not rub with my setup, and I'm running Cooper STT Pro's which are pretty big for a 295/70/18.

Don't worry about lift height at all, its not relevant because a "lift" on a 100 does not affect wheel travel. Do a pinch weld mod and run +25s and you will be good to go.
