I have had these for some time. I was going to use them for another Cruiser project. Long story short, i sold the projects and got a truck i could tinker with......

My first "tinkering" project was these doors. Thanks to the superior customer support at Metal Tech i got these mounted up today....i had a few stupid questions.....imagine that :-) Still a little adjusting to do but overall i really like the look and feel of the doors.

Can I have them!? :D

bad thing about tube doors is you can't grab your junk while driving down the road. Everyone will see what you're doing.
Everyone else does that.............Right?

"Does bugs bunny make you horny"

Yeah, me either.....

Im having a canvas guy put covers on them..... Then we will be safe to self gratify.....

Heads-up

I am going to proceed with caution in asking for my test-drive in the new rig.

Doors are cool-love the idea of putting a canvas over them. I am sure someone from the marine canvas world in Hudson can advise on how to get that stretched tight.

Metal Tech is now in my backyard. I have been meaning to see them about a one-off project.

Truck looks great. Love the Oxblood seat covers-old school and correct......nice.

Sweet looking truck you got there .....I'm sure it's truely Shregalitious to the ladies out your way..

Might want to take care of that oil leak :wrench: before you hit the road with those new MT doors. :hillbilly:

Thanks Dave, the PO did a fantastic job on this build. As for the doors, you guessed it, the guy that does my canvas work for the boat is gunna fix up the doors with some nice black material with snaps n such.....

Try doing that without any doors . I have had to adjust my driving habits since getting a doorless, topless truck.

Anyway back on topic.....nice looking doors.

sad to report the wife VETOED the tube doors.

If yer interested please shoot me a PM, they are officially for sale......

FFLF strikes again.......

Why the veto?

Are you selling them with the hinges?

She does not think they look "right".... out came the veto pen. Im ok with it, she has been as fanatical about these trucks as i am.....cant complain to loudly......

If i can get a set of hinges in return i will part with the chrome. Chrome has no place here......

I have a pair of Metal Tech tube doors still in the box along with a set of stainless hinges. My wife also objected to the idea, at first. I told her it was tube doors or no doors when the top was off, and emphasized (exaggerated) the safety aspect of side protection. After a couple of days she changed her mind, with very little arm twisting. I say hold off on selling your doors and give it a little time. They look great by the way.
