That looks like a fun fix. Not too hard and really rewarding!

My brackets are still perfect. I guess my pig didn't go to the drive-in very often.@WarDamnEagle @gonzopancho @PabloCruise do you guys have pictures/descriptions of the rear attachment seat bracket fixes in your builds? I have close to zero welding/metal working skill but may give it a go this time around if I can wrap my brain around it.![]()
My rear seat just needed adjustment, and the cable that opens the pin that keeps the seat bottom attached to the floorboard.@WarDamnEagle @gonzopancho @PabloCruise do you guys have pictures/descriptions of the rear attachment seat bracket fixes in your builds? Im not at my trucks, they're located off site... sorry.. but from memory I think your pedal assembly is correct.. Is the bracket that attaches to your carb original. and is the linkage original from the firewall to the bracket.. I'm questioning the the length of the rod that extends to your bracket... Do you still have the originals? I know you replaced an aftermarket carb, how about the linkage?Sorry thinking on the go here…is it possible I’m missing something that goes between the OEM pedal and firewall on the inside of Marge that would change the geometry of the system?View attachment 2957143
Sorry about this next question, but is there a spacer/grommets between the bracket attaching to the firewall and the firewall... Is that a gap I see in the pic?Im not at my trucks, they're located off site... sorry.. but from memory I think your pedal assembly is correct.. Looking for an SME to jump in, but I'm curious whether you have the linkage correctly attached to the firewall bracket.. I just looked at mine the other day when removing my carb.. and is the firewall bracket correctly attached... did they place a spacer in there when installing the aftermarket carbSorry about this next question, but is there a spacer/grommets between the bracket attaching to the firewall and the firewall... Im certain you have the right parts... so take a look at the bracket on the firewall.. first ensure there's not a spacer in there.. then where the linkage attaches to that could there be another way for that to work...Looking for an SME to jump in, but I'm curious whether you have the linkage correctly attached to the firewall bracket.. suggestion... detach the assembly from the firewall bracket and will the 'rod' attach to the rear of the firewall bracket...as opposed to the front as you have it now..Im certain you have the right parts... so take a look at the bracket on the firewall.. first ensure there's not a spacer in there.. then where the linkage attaches to that could there be another way for that to work...
ToyotaMatt has got his poop right is my bet..
Scrap, is the perpendicular rod supposed to be on the other side of the linkage? meaning it would have to be attached to the back side of the firewall bracket?Maybe set the carb on it's studs and see how the linkage looks in regards to it, before you start modifying the linkage.
At best an SME has there truck nearby or the innate 411 to help.. I don't have enuf experience, but I will got to my trucks tomorrow morn if this isn't answered tonite.. but I agree with Scrapdaddy don't modify anything .....Scrap, is the perpendicular rod supposed to be on the other side of the linkage? meaning it would have to be attached to the back side of the firewall bracket?
