I told my wife the 79 will cost us more, but it can be hers. 🤣🤣 it'll be a much longer project for me as well... where did you source your bodies from @shellb?

The single cabs are a heck of a deal

And he has two troopy bodies!!

AC is working, as well as the AC idle up. It is.... FREEZING cold now...

as someone who has had two turbo 1fz-fe builds at @Cruisers and Co (both are ongoing), a non-turbo 5.2L stroker 1fz build underway, and Johnny even fixed the AC on my FTE/152 swapped LX450 before I blew it up (tbc: not Johnny’s fault. I fault the original build(er)),

… you’re gonna love that lx450.

Yes!! I got them from Bradley. I help run logistics if needed! Do it!

5.2 stroker 1FZ sounds like an interesting one - is there a thread going on it? Same question for your FTE.

Would be interesting to hear more of your thoughts on the FTE as a platform as it sounds like a regular 1FZ just won’t cut it for you :steer:

Not a lot of pictures, but ive been putting miles on the old girl this week.

My family flew in from Georgia and their rental car was from the sketchiest looking rental agency ive ever seen.

After they tried to double the price of the rental, my dad told them to **** off. So the LX was their chariot for the week.

It was hilarious getting my 80 year old grandma in and out of the back seat. Had to buy a step stool for her and my mom.

Went up I-70 several times, up to Idaho Springs, silverthorne, and back. Got around 22mpg that trip.

Then Thursday we went down 285, all the way to Kenosha Pass, decided to keep going all the way to Buena Vista. Averaged 23mpg that trip.

Should give me a range of 500ish miles. Which is super nice. Planning on a few 4x4 meets, trail cleanups etc.

Speculating a fat G-Turbo or UFI setup with unichip.

A blast to drive still.

Gturbo titanium all the way

We will build you the latest gen 15 . We are just smashed with loom orders but you always will have our best as you supported us from the beginning

Hi Mick - @Cruisers and Co and I are going to need a couple double cab harness as well. I’ll follow up on your email soon with some more specifics now that we have a chassis, body and motor.

Doing some more small but needed fixes. My CDL hasn't been working since the swap. I just made sure it was unlocked of course, and have been mostly on the pavement. A few trails here and there, but not really anything that even needed low range.

Ive got a moab trip on the books for November through Rising Sun 4x4 club. So I figured lets get it done today.

Pulled the actuator, locked the CDL by hand, then locked the actuator by plugging it into the harness and using my new CDL switch/button.

It locked/unlocked. So I figured hell lets put it back on and see what it does.

Unlocked fine, wouldnt lock. Took it back off, and it was getting the locking rod/fork almost there but not quite.

So I took it back off, locked the transfercase by hand, and locked the CDL off the case again.

Then I opened it up, rotated the small gear that's driven by the worm gear/actuator, and oriented it on the other side of the stay/stop.

Plugged it back in, made sure it worked on the harness, bolted it back up and it seems to be working now.

Next on the list is the fuel gauge sender situation. I think, i went total ****ing dumbass and tossed it in the trash while it was still on the old pump/assembly....... not sure how I expected the gauge to work without an sender...... lol.

Ill order a new sender and go from there. For now I just try and get diesel when the ODO is at 350 miles to be safe.

And a bonus pic of your rs3000 alarm indicator?

I'm working on replacing mine today. Just came in to look up a couple of the options because I'm trying to make it work as closely as I can to OEM, except better range. I don't really live somewhere that requires an alarm, but I love keyless entry and mine was becoming erratic.
