I absolutely change my mind about taking these apart to regrease them they are a huge pain in the ass just run them. Lol

Just out of pure curiosity and the fact that I may need a set of axles in the future, why did you go with RCV over longfields? Quick search revealed that Bobby has passed, but it seems the company is still in business...are they not the same now?

The Longfields were made for Bobby by RCV, when he passed his business was sold to Trailready. Trailready sold what stock of good made in the USA 80 series birfields they had and then took the design to China to be copied. So right now you couldn't even buy from Trailready even if you wanted to, which I don't....

It's a donor

So the rumor that you're building a hybrid Pig is true??

Nothing to get excited about. :)

I really wanted to get excited about, since it takes a LOT to surprise Mrs. D, and put a 460 with a bow in the driveway (again. :) ) but ain't feelin' the love of the new grillz just yet.

Of course, I'd still prefer the 04 470 over the 460, so guess I'm getting old.....as if DDing the 80 versus any new car wasn't enough of a signifier.

Put those fancy shocks on.

I was going to but I seriously ran out of time. I have movers coming in 2 days. I am moving to Moab. So I will bring them with me and schedule a time for you guys to throw them in!

Holy s***!! brakes are a so much better!!! Even with very little bedding in maybe 3 60/65-0 stops they will put you through the windshield! I didn't know what to expect but very happy! With the turbo overdriving the brakes was too easy. My old brakes were OEM rotors with a lot of material left and OEM 100 series pads so they should have been decent.

Well not sure what you're thinking, but while the NSA, has presence in Texas and Utah, I quit 3 weeks ago! Not working for 5 months so will spend about 2.5-3 months in Moab, and then 2-2.5 months on an epic road trip and then going back to school for 5 more years to knock people out. Lol

Hmmmm......

Austin to UT.

Seems those addresses kinda relate for some odd reason. Can't quite place it, but know there's a connection.....

And I totally get it, not sure what it is about the 80 but I drive fancy cars and they don't feel, just right, like the 80. I get in my 80 and I am like "Ahh Yeah, I like this "

funny, I was going to tell you that you will like those EBC pads then saw this post. I moved from the 100 series pad setup to the EBC pads, only thing I did was swap the pads, night and day difference. I did not like the 100 series pads on the 80 series even though everyone hypes this mod up on the forum.
