listed on craigslist about 3 1/2hrs away, was told it was rusty but wow. I grew up in NJ, so I've seen some rusty rigs before but, the rigs around here usually don't get this bad.

It is a 78 and does run.

the wife was really pleased seeing it in the driveway.

If you really think about what makes a pig a pig, it's the fact that the damn thing can barely maintain its shape, held only by the bonds of Fe02, yet run and drive.....

Prolly been three or four months, but a guy in Oz found one that'd been abandoned for many, many years, so rotted it has holes everywhere.

Systematic lubrication of cylinders through the course of a couple of weeks, new plugs, and with little resistance, hand cranked and drove it out of the wilderness.....

Good stuff!!

you are a true hero...

we just need to make sure to get all the rust free pigs together for a slumber party with this one; you know, for immunity...

It'll all buff out!

after pulling everything of value.....I got $25 for hauling it to the recycler for scrap.

engine, trans/transfer, axles, rad and shroud, taillights and metal around, 4wd emblem, rear window regulator, heater assembly, windshield, and misc. bits and pieces.
some already sold, some on the shelf.

$.01 a pound scrap barely pays for bringing it in but it's better than sitting in the yard.
