I think post #36 sums up the no updates.

Maybe someday we'll see it posted again.

Hey guys, ya'll are great but I won't be accessing this board anymore. Actually I won't have internet access any longer so I won't be accessing anything, but if anyone wants to see how this thing turns out, feel free to call me whenever and I'll send you pics or answer any questions you have about things I did to it. Thanks for the tips along the way and God Bless!

Hey guys. I'll be able to hop on here once in a while now, so heres a few updated pics of the rig...haven't had time to do much more to it but this month it will be getting rear fenderwells. some rocker panel work w/sliders, and a mini-exo around the tub :D

Here are a couple shots from the rear. I'm going to be running some tube around the outside lip of the tub from the rockers to the rear bumper I'm building to outboard some XJ springs.

I threw a rear seat out of an S10 blazer in the back. It folds flat when not in use. I had an Raingler net lying around too so I welded some washers to the cap frame and stuck it up there. Should be good for keeping stuff high and dry...jackets, game bags...

We went for a spin a few weekends ago and did some snow rompin...the person in the rear jump seat gets kinda frosty but it drives fine. I just need to find time to get it to my buddy's shop ... has a nice plasma cutter, big shear and a waterjet too, so it should come out pretty nice.

I found out that 2 of the boggers are out of round, Interco said they would warranty them. They won't hold air and anything over 20mph gets pretty shaky.

I'm torn between a full AGR Hydro assist system and just going full hydro for the steering.

nice, looks good

looks like a frosty ride, get your buddy to get that tub together.

sweet pics

that looks so awesome. ive never seen anything like it. i love the dovetail along with the roof alterations. nice fab work.

Huh, and I thought that was normal......

apparently it is...interco said they warranty 37" boggers all the time. Since I'm in alaska I have to cut the DOT numbers out of the sidewall and mail that back to them...then they'll ship a couple of new ones up here.

I'm going to knock out the fenderwells this weekend and hopefully get started on the exo. i did some trimmin on the front fenders and rocker panels this past week and hooked up the in-cab winch controls.

I'm trying to figure out a way to fit a removable roof rack which ties into the exo...I'm thinking about ordering 4 of those weld-on tube clamps, then run 4 lengths of tube from the roof rack, over the sides, and down to the rear exo bars around the wheelwells on each side...and then down to the rocker guards up front....hmmm...I'll post pics of how all that turns out :)

Quick update on this long over-drawn out project :)

It's running great after a short stint in the shop for a new carb and some other quick tuning stuff. It pays to live down the road from Mark Whatley

Finishing up the Scout Saginaw setup now. I pulled an all-nighter last night getting the harder stuff out of the way.

I've got to build the mount for the pump, weld up the steering shaft, go pick up the waggy pitman arm and fab a drag link, but after those minor annoyances the steering on this little guy should be much more manageable.

Pics coming soon...EP

Here I welded the crush sleeves into the frame, boxed in the rear with 1/4" plate. These are crush sleeves that came with an Nth Degree Mobility TJ lift kit. Perfect fit, perfect spacing away from the frame so that you don't have to relocate the radiator.

Used a 25mm hole saw and welded em in nice and square.

fits like a glove.

Just need to finish up some things and then I can stop wrestling with the wheel.

Also, I swapped on a steering wheel off of a 1990 4Runner...went right on and looks factory with the stock plastic column trim from the '40.
