Hot Take: The GX550 tan paint is way cooler than the LC250 tan paint.

I wouldn’t say that’s a hot take. Looks very mustard-y without being a good mustard color, and I’m looking to change my allocation for a trail dust to something else now. White, underground, or black are now what I’m leaning towards. The GX550 color is much better…actually all of their colors are much better.

Mark up of the 250…

My Dealership said $5,000 for non relationship customers and possibly additional $1000 for relationship customers

No dealer mark up at my local dealer with a $500 deposit. Never bought anything from them before.

The mustard are definitely not for everyone. It's a tribute color of the FJ40-45. It would only interest people that have long history with Land Cruiser. I like the heritage blue much better or cadet blue for even more subtle color.

That Gx Really is something. It’s so nice, it makes the new 250 cruiser look like a… 4runner. 🧐 Hmm

Gotta give credit to Toyota. The new Cruiser is Very nice niche spot in the line up. The Lexus is obviously a marketing plow to get over landers to buy a more expensive item.

Many wish the new 250 was a basic 4x4 Sway disconnect 6cyl.

Yet we can’t get everything we want and not everyone is happy. Though that’s life.

These new era Toyota/Lexus definitely are Not mild or wild…. Yet a distinctive flavor to the markets they are made specifically for.

Dang. you got me. didn't know they were on the roads with 300k on them already with no problems, issues, or shortcomings.

You are immediately jumping to conclusions that I want a 1974 FJ40 to DD in 2023. I do not want that.

There is a HUGE gap in the market between a car with just a steering wheel and a seat and what we are offered now, by any auto maker.
if theres one thing you can count on it's that it will go 300k....its a toyota
thats ultimately why we are all here after all

Can someone get a detail picture of the front wheel and brake caliper? Trying to see the clearance for 17" wheels.

I'm personally okay with the 4cyl. But we should stop making excuses for Toyota intentionally making crappy options to devalue the Toyota stuff. Has nothing to do with cost savings. Toyota could put the T6 in the LC. There could very easily be optional engines. Any other manufacturer would offer the LC with at least 3 engines. Base T4, hybrid 4, and T6.

No need for a base T4. Option of either the current LC 4-Hybrid or the more normal T6 from the GX would have been good enough. As it stands now there are those who would have bought the LC but will instead get the GX solely because of the engine. Good for Toyota I guess.

A optional Engine choice certainly would be nice.

Wish that was the case with my 2022 Sienna.

Fully Loaded with Hundreds of lbs of Cargo and hundreds in passengers, the mild hp and torque does just fine even on steep grades.

I do wish a turbo Engine was an option. I have a aftermarket Hitch for towing.

Point being… The 4cyl Turbo hybrid will be plenty! of hp and torque for the New 250 LC.

A 6cyl is Not Needed. Though would be nice to have that option.

I think a base T4 would be the choice of 70%+. Would be $3500 less than the hybrid (based on tundra pricing). That would make it the best off-road capable model. And it should still be pretty decent on the highway for people who don't need to tow anything. It's not for me. But I think it would be a good option for a lot of buyers.

They're putting a 160hp 4cyl in it in lots of markets.
