If I haven't had any overheating issues with my SC, would this still be a helpful mod?
Thanks

When it comes to keeping a blown 1FZ cool a belt and suspenders are prudent.

Drive it like you stole it.

Just gathering interest for another run of these. There is some behind the scenes activity so I need to find out if its worth the time and aggravation. @2fpower what say you?

I'm 100% in for one!

Well I say I love having spare parts lying around!
Almost considered buying one from Beno and getting it milled to match the inner portion of the spacer they give you with the magnuson kit that allows you to utilize the stock clutch.

And just a side note: The sound the clutch makes is Sweeeeet! Forget the S/C whistle, it's all about that Orange Hub fan clutch.

With Magnuson stopping production, and I have only 2 more in inventory, (holding back for friends), I would say you need to get people to sign up to commit before you make a run, like you did for the compressor mounts.

I had a great guy ask about them the other day, so he likely is interested -- oh he already replied above @ArkhamZ .

I'm IN 100%. I had issues over the summer, found this thread and thought I was in luck.. got to the end of the thread and said F!#$. I cracked open the blue fan clutch on Sunday and did the Landtank mod W/ 15k silicone. This popped back up on Monday.

Since this is one of my first posts I want to say THANK YOU to all the Mudd members for all the sleepless nights over the last year.. amazing wealth of info and a cool community.

bump.... Its HOT.
do you think we will see the orange fan clutch this summer? My SC hates 98+ temps.. just like everyone's.
The moded blue clutch helped but I'm still seeing the occasional 222 temp.

Thanks!

Count me in

I too have the blue but when climbing out of Denver with 85 90 degree temps I'm climbing temps super fast. Having to pull over some days. Hitting 205 up hill and more if I let it and in town I'm anywhere from 186 to 198.I don't even have in my rear storage yet. Hot for sure and since its a new build i have been babying the temps.

Thought I would test my cooling system this week since it is record heat. I even installed my 2.8" S/C pulley just to really tease my temperature gauge. In rush hour traffic at 118 degrees and a/c blasting 60 degrees below ambient, I was running 212 max, often a little less. Quite acceptable in my book. What are you guys whining about?
