I also got an email back from Christo today saying that they were building the hardware kits and should be able to pick up with the next few weeks!

Slee suggested buying a set of LC rocker panels rather than cutting the ones on the LX for a cleaner look. I ordered a set that should be in around Thursday.

Where did you get them from?
Best price I can find is $505 shipped through Amayama (one from UAE and one from Japan. $585 if both from Japan).

I was able to get them from a local junk yard for $78.00 each.
They are blue so will have to paint them to match or bedliner black for a quick install.

I hope everybody on the list got their sliders. Mine shipped out a few days after I paid. Not sure if I just got lucky or they got a boat load and filling everybody’s order.
It took some time installing this on a LC but it all worked out in the end.

If anyone is local to Portland, OR. I’ve got a brand new set of SLEE LX570 sliders with skids still in the crate available for pick up. Selling for exact price I paid for them. $1696. Never installed. My build plans changed. Can meet in SE Portland anytime.

So I went though my parts list and the instructions a few times. I need to get a rivnut tool. I know there are some DIY ways of hacking something together but I rather get the tool. Will this style of rivnut tool work? Will i have clearance with the ground and other parts of the truck?

You can buy a tool from Slee . . .

I'm also interested in whether that style of riv-nut setter will work for the riv-nuts locations that Slee's sliders requires. I've done lots of smaller riv-nuts with the common small version of that tool and find that install technique really matters. I worry about being able to get a good install with the wrench version and would like not to have to use that style of setter.

Looks like this tool should work for all Rivnuts installed on the side of the frame. There was one on the drivers side bottom frame that I had trouble getting to without lifting the vehicle (mainly drilling hole to size). If you have a high enough jack/lift, you should be good.

Good deal on the tool set for $40 👍

I just got the tool from McMaster Carr - it’s $30, small, and you won’t run into clearance issues.

You'll likely have trouble getting that tool to a good spot to squeeze the handles. The one from slee is much simpler - a slip nut and a threaded bolt.

Thanks, that's what I was worried about.
