Cheap and effective: 1" BL, AAL and lift shackles would net you 3-4" for about $200 if you do it cheap, and wouldn't be too hokey. You could fab your own shackles and body lift for next to nothing.
Or OME 3" kit for $1,400, better ride and flex than stock and the preferred lift the discriminating LC enthusiast.
If you just want to fit 33's, especially on stock rims just mount them up and roll, shouldnt rub much, then lift to suit afterwards.
Go to your local boat shop and get some delrin rollers that you can cut down for 1-1.5" body lift. Order some long add a leafs for all 4 corners and you should probably roll 33's fine. Just remember that you might still need to replace your shocks...but with the 1-1.5" gained from add a leafs you should be fine, and you shouldnt be maxing out your drivelines.
If I were shooting for CHEAP this is how I'd do it, and would allow an additional 1" shackle lift (also inexpensive) if you needed a skinch more. We have some great threads on this site, and I'm still floored at the comraderie of our Cruisin' community. Welcome!
33's still require minor modifications. It also depends on the backsapcing of the rims and the width of the tire. Some people have gotten away with 33's without lift if they are backspaced differently than stock and go with "pizza cutters" meaning that the tires are only 9.5" wide.
Use the search function and type in 33s and lift: Here's a few results to get you started.
I don't know why everyone says you have to mod your truck to run 33's. I run 33x10.5's on stock rims with nothing other than AAL's, and I have yet to rub them on any of the trips I've been on.
