My airport shuttle last week in Memphis…

Pimp.

After a bit over 2 months with the 200 I figured I would be a little less in love with my (daughters) 100 series

Well, no. I am still a full on 100 series homer.

Picked it up Saturday and dive headfirst into the forest. Just came up for air after just under 500 miles of off/back roads in Pisgah, Nantahala and Cherokee National Forests.

Hard to beat this package.

On a 200 note my son had a dead battery (on his 100) This am and HE is quite impressed with the 200……

Love me a clean 100...

Where'd you head in Pisgah? I'm heading up for a trip in Upstate SC / Western NC tomorrow in the 80 - would love a few POI/trails you found along the way.

Do you use GPS? I have all my tracks from
This trip right here

I couldn't have asked for anything better - Gaia user as well.

Excellent!!
I have messed around the area a ton. Mostly Georgia Traverse trails.

This trip was doing a lot of dead end road driving looking for campsites. I marked good camps along the way. Feel free to message me if you have any questions

Coincidentally the reason I'm making this trip is for a wedding in Dahlonega on the way back with your second leg coming right through. I may have to show up with my camp stank... :hmm:

For the 200 folks. This route is nice and wide. The only sketchy stuff is at the very beginning of day 1. Hurricane Creek trail. I used 4Low a bunch on that trail and then once I crossed over I40 on the way to Buzzards Roost there was a steep powerline. My 100 is the rear locker only model, no ATRAC and the locker won’t engage so it’s unlocked and did fine. There were only a couple of narrow sections but nothing the Whale would have had issue with.

For a clean low mile 200 the PO liked to use the brakes apparently

When we were installing the Dobinsons the pads are down to 25%

@Onur sent me the goods. Super easy truck to swap pads and rotors.

Nolen,
Hope you are well, great looking 200, I also bought myself a very gently used 2016 a few months back.

Curious on your purchase of OEM vs Aftermarket for the brake rotors and pads? I tend to go OEM and I'm looking to replace my brakes probably towards the end of the year, considering all the options available.

Best!
Rob

Ive tried the slotted rotors in the past and can never tell the difference in the “upgrade”

Cant go wrong with OEM. I drive like a pawpaw. They shoukd last a long time

That is my biggest complaint about the 200, they eat brakes.

My wife’s 15’ with 75k miles (mostly short trips) is on rotor set #3, partly due to me switching to TRD pads which were a huge mistake and removed after ~10k miles when they ate rotor set #2.

I thought it was her driving style and the type of short trips until mine started vibrating at 20k miles that included 2 ~6000 mile trips out west with plenty of interstate driving. A rotor turn eliminated it, but confident it will be back soon, hoping to find a better solution at that time.
