Nick said he found some but could not read the site

however I contacted depo a while back and I know they want atleast 10 or 15 orders of the same light in order to produce them again

Well, I've got a OEM 98-02 headlight coming in the mail. I'm going to stuff this in there :) I will be making a vacuum table and making a totally custom shroud and one of a kind headlight for my truck.

I will talk with Matt in the morning when I get to work about a group buy for you guys. Start assembling your 25! LJ or Mxndrnks you may start a thread tommorow morning when i give the approval, I'm sure it won't be a problem. I will look for the site tonight, it was sickeningly over priced though!

Edit: ok, group buy for the Depo's lol. Sorry. My offer still stands for a TRS group buy...

Nick, I have the promo code for a current group buy ready to go. It is not mud specific but Matt was okay with it last time. I can ask him again if he will let us use it. It is a current group buy that will end next monday, currently have around 20 paid items so we may not need to assemble an entire 25

Thanks Mr. Nick@TRS:grinpimp:

on a side note, I have a brand new Morimoto H1 stage III kit if someone wants to buy that at a discounted price;) I thought I was going to use it but decided not to..Will not mention the price here so this post wont get deleted

what is the bulb number for the front parking lights (not the turn signal) for the 98-05 front headlights? I have one out and it must have been damaged in teh install. Is it the a 168?

Did you upgrade yours to LED? I'd like it to either match the 4500k HID color or the color of the orange turn signal.

No, I replaced my LED's with halogens due to looks. It looked great with HID in factory housing. But my projectors are fully sealed it looks funny. I can take pictures if you want.

Use a warm white t10 led in that location
I've got a cheap $3 ebay set coming in. For some reason, that bulb on the passenger side keeps blowing out ever since I installed the relay harness two weeks ago. The harness nor any other wires are coming in contact with it.:hmm: I've replaced the bulb twice only to have it immediately blow out. If the LEDs burn up, then I'll just unplugged the bulbs on both sides.

I'm brand new on this forum and I've been lurking for a few weeks but this looks like an awesome retrofit! And some great installs!! @2000UZJ I notice that you're in the Atlanta area, would you be willing to help out a rookie with installing this? I'm looking for a nice headlight upgrade as a beginning to modifications I'm looking to install on my LC.

P.S. It could be months before I get around to installing anything on my truck, but hopefully it will begin within the next few weeks!

I noticed that Depo headlights are no longer available for 2004 LC on eBay and Depo dealers online. I wonder why?
The Depo site lists both glass and plastic headlights available but the glass one does not show availability in the US.
Anyone has a source?
May be I should upgrade to 06+ style while at it?

IIRC Amazon has the Depo's. I'm not sure if the 06+ from Amazon required the new front valence though. I would email the seller

Didn't they switch to plastic from glass?
I was hoping to get the glass replacement.

By the was, the glass ones clean up real good removing any kind of crap off using 0000 steel wool.

80 Series Depo's are glass. the 100 Series Depo's are plastic. I would clean the glass lens with dish soap and a soft cloth. That is what I do and cleans them up nicely.

Finished my retro on my '06 LC

Had time on Monday to start my retro and she's all finished and aimed now. This is my third retro using TRS parts (Mini Morimoto projector kit) so I know where everything goes and what to modify. My first was on my '05 4runner and the '06 LC headlights are very similar in design to the 4runner. I helped my fellow LC owner Wanderlust install his kit last weekend. He has a '99 LC and we had to do a lot more modifying to make everything fit and adjust correct.

Here are a few pics of the finished product. I didn't do a full write up because it's pretty much on here already. I did something a little different to the Gatlin Gun shroud and cut the inner tabs down so that it sits further back in the headlight and on the projector. That also allows for a much smaller gap between the shroud and the reflector, they're basically touching each other. If I didn't trim them back there was about a 1/2" gap between the two. Enjoy :grinpimp:

Final product

Finished shot. I'll try and snap a few more at night to show you the output. I love these little projectors, such wide beam patterns and really good light. I also paid a little more for the XB35 bulbs and they are bright.
