I am looking doing the retrofit for my 99 LC. I basically need to purchase the following kit and follow the process in this thread. Any other tip or tricks or coupons? :)

BI-XENON: MORIMOTO MINI H1 STAGE III

I'm wondering the same. I'm really tired of rhe poor light output from factory lights. Mine is a 01 LC glass lenses appear to be in great shape.

Hey guys, I'll bump this with the completion of my quad-projector retro for my '06. D2S's in the high/low beam spot, Mini H1's in the highs. LED strip along the outside of the high beam reflector housing that also function as indicators. LED bulbs in the signals (not 100% sold on those but happy for now). Overall, incredibly happy with how much light these things put out.

Low's only:

High and low both:

DRL's only (on whenever ignition is on, OEM setting)

Before you ask, no I did not attempt this myself, I had it done by Dan at RIHIDS in Woonsocket Rhode Island. Nice guy, does great work and would recommend to anyone in the area (or elsewhere for that matter) looking to have more light.
How exactly was this wired? i’m planning to do the same setup and want both highs and lows on when highs are on. Thanks!

I guess I'm reviving an old-ish thread, but there aren't many active ones!

I have Depo lights sitting in my garage for my LC and I'm planning to order the TRS retrofits...
But does anybody have a diagram or explanation of how to deal with the DRL/HighBeam situation? I figure if i'm going to open these headlights up, I might as well add a projector in the hi-beam slot, too?

Or does that make the situation overly complicated and to stick to the low-beam?

Assuming you are working with 98-02 housings (with the glass lenses) I would suggest the morimoto 2-stroke for the high beam. The issue with more than 2 projectors is that it becomes more difficult to get alignment since they're really designed to align as pairs, not quads. The 2 stroke solves this because its designed to reflect, not project. So you get a nice bright reflected light output combined with your low beam projectors opened all the way up (because the solenoid gets activated when you flip to high). And the 2 stroke looks better when in DRL mode, IMO. Plenty of light on high, plenty of light on low. If you find yourself wanting more light - I think that's when you go to the hood mounted pods and/or light bars, and/or ARB style bumper mounted lights.

Yes, I've got an '00 but went with the DEPO one piece with integrated turn signal style housings.

I think I've read about the 2 stroke suggestions before, I think I'll go that way! Thanks, Gnar

I purchased everything to do a retrofit on their black friday sale, just havent gotten around to doing it yet. I emailed TRS and ended up purchasing this relay harness to use. Hopefully this is of some help!

Appreciate it! Which kit did you end up going with -- did you do halos on the shrouds?

@mkivtdi as well - I'm preparing to do this Depo 1-piece retrofit as well. Instead of adding a second projector to the high-beam housing, I want to run the bixenon shutter from my high beam switch, and run a separate auxiliary light into that reflector (along the lines of a Baja XL80 or Squadron). Any tips for how to handle the DRL delete in this case?

It depends on what year 100 you have. On 98-02 you can clip a wire and disable it. Google is your friend.
