Was wondering if this has been done. Planning to purchase a set that came off from a 70 series.

Question are:
1. will this be bolt on? No grinding needed?
2. Do I need to change my lug nuts when I change to steelies?
3. Will be using my existing tires which 265/75/16, will there be rubbing issues? Height is currently stock.

1. ...can't answer this one, but,
2. Yes, you will need conical lug nuts instead of the square shoulder nuts Toyota uses on the stock alloy rims, and
3. that size is definitely not recommended with those wheels. 265/70-16 tires are specified to be used on 7"-9" wheels, with 8" width being optimum. You most likely can mount them on a 6" rim, but it is not recommended for any 265-series tire I've looked up.

1. Yes
2. The mag lug nuts will actually work and I believed designed as such to work on both alloy and when the spare tire has a steel wheel. But it'll look funny. Recommend the tapered lug nuts.
3. That size tire can work as well but tire wear might be slightly uneven. But actually better for off-road use. I would change tire size on next set of tires.
