Top secret cause if Kim finds out I sent pic I’m a dead man!

Swapped out new battery in big tractor (quite the the task) and I’m off to hook up to bat wing. Hauled old battery to town during chores with Clyde as we always do. Had to pick up watermelon in front of tractor supply and new bed for new dog (Tess).

Caught wife in swimsuit trying to get new dog (rescue x2 days) into front pond to swim. Apparently Kim took swim yesterday also while I was at work.

brain fart

Holy moly, really enjoyed Eagle Nest and Angel Fire area. Beautiful area without the crowds we had when we lived in CO. I mean zero crowds, crazy considering the area.

Rented Can Am and drove around mountains for half day with the wife and dog. Only saw two folks tent camping and didn’t pass a single vehicle. Saw turkey, grouse and tons of elk tracks up high.

Lows in 40’s highs mid 70s. Quite different than Amarillo where we are waking up.

It’s on our list to take a pig when able. Next time gonna rent boat and catch some pike.

Pig Party '26?

I have a friend who lives in the area.

100% this...
A new can of Never-Dull is $7.50 on the Amazon.
New wadding in dad's old can for the win!!!
Except I don't think you can weld on those new cans...

🤔 💥

(Too soon? 😘 )

I am sorry to hear about your BIL.
Thank you!

On Friday, his ashes were in fact hand delivered from Honduras by the funeral home director’s husband and son (pretty darn amazing). Brought a lot of closure to my wife and in-laws.

Here’s to a peaceful Sunday. 🍻

I'm sure I've forgotten everything I did back in college on finite element simulations of welded structures, so you're probably right.

Did you even try to read the 3rd Edition?

Sounds like great idea! I was surprised how much of the area is privately owned. Doesn’t appear to have a much in way of public lands in immediate area but someone with more knowledge then I will likely share their thoughts.

Peace be with you my Friend!

I'm still trying to figure out the wadding polish concept...

It's nice to get in here for a minute before reality intrudes.
The boy spent his first night away from home last night as he gets ready to start college later on this month.
It was a big step for us for sure. Lots of thoughts and feelings, some tears too.
And a lot of work helping him move. Heck, we just moved a couple of months ago and I barely know where my stuff is. So more moving now just feels excessive.

I know your pain, we moved Kel a mile there in FOCO last week to new house where she is sharing house with 2 other girls. Let the drama begin!

Felt like 100 miles!

It would be funny if they cross paths on campus this year!

Got home last night at 10:45PM.
Long haul from Eureka, CA, to Cottonwood, AZ. Left at 4AM, so 18hrs and change driving yesterday.

After leaving Don’s place, went through Redding and passed Mt. Shasta.
Went through Grants Pass and into Merlin, and met up with the rest of my crew at a place called Galice. Stopped in Merlin to see SOTAR HQ (which was closed😕). Saw this sweet old something-or-other car in Galice, so took some pics for J Mack.
