So does this look correct?

I’ll keep extra fuel filter on hand as spare.

Old Fuel lines removed. Both rubber lines from tank to hard lines are 5/16 and had hardened making removal difficult.

kit comes with 3/8. I’ve got one coupler from 5/16 to 3/8. Will have to get another for return line to tank.

You could just come straight out of the filter/regulator with a 5/16” barb.

Yeah I thought about that. Need to get a 5/16 hose barb to -6 female.

Wouldn’t have figured out the Corvette Filter without reading @wngrog build thread. See post # 28

This is how I interpret

After watching ‘Project Wrong Way’ was left wondering where is the best place to mount fuel pump?

Anybody have suggestions or pictures?
I have watched Ben and Rachel’s videos for over 2 years now…. Surely beats the crap that is on TV and they are informative and entertaining. Just starting my Sniper install this week as well.and of course and re-watched several YouTube videos on FJ40 sniper installs. There are probably over a dozen or so. Ben and I work the same way so it’s perfect. Never afraid to dig in and try it. My stopping point has to be the trans, transfer case and differentials…they’re way too heavy these days for me

The last few weeks my project derailed when I went chasing debris in my fuel tank.

I removed fuel tank sender and borrowed a scope to see what lies beneath. The images looked like the landscape on another planet. Big black flaky sh#t, some light surface rust etc. I’ve been watching YouTube videos on cleaning a rusty tank (and pricing new Spectra tank).

I decided to try good old fashioned vinegar. 8 gallons of it to be exact! This is the 5% stuff available at Sam’s. With tank still in truck, I filled her up and I let it sit for a week and then siphoned it out. Put the scope back in and looks like it loosened a lot of the debris but not to my liking.

Last night I removed the tank from underside of tub (1981 FJ40). This was a huge PIA! I planning on trying to clean the tank more thoroughly with tank out of vehicle.

While trying to remove tank I noticed a little seepage at fuel tank plug. I’ve read here on Mud that plug gasket is NLA for ‘79+ FJ40s. Surely there is a suitable replacement out there ???

Should I remove plug and seal some other way or leave it friggen alone?

What have others used to seal fuel tank plug?
