I don't think Ali weighs enough to need a pulley! I think a single line pull with max speed will suffice here, geniuses!

For clarification, I have attached a Crude A$$ Drawing (CAD)

This image is pre-winch, so you kind of gotta have an imagination.

I'm glad Steve ran with it so I could rest my brain and not embarass myself anymore than I already had.

I like how it jumped threads too.

Enough of this winch-grinch-sminch talk...

WHERE'S THE SNOW???????

(no Mike, I am not drunk)....

:D

:flipoff2:

PS: Also heard a rumor that Mrs. Cruiserdan is going to join us as well on Saturday with the Red Elephant 80 series (improved with M8000)

Looks like the potential for a better storm a week from now. Weather.com

Good Sign?

I hope this is good.

for all interested in this run. we will probably have the club's liability release forms at this run for EVERYONE to sign. this will include club members and nonmembers alike. no big deal, just wanted to give everybody a heads up.

that snow looks great Jon!

This picture was taken this afternoon near where we exit Paliza(east of Jemez Springs) if you do the loop.

Cool Vince. Will we see you at La Cueva at about 9:30? We are planning on leaving 528 and 550 at 8:00, leaving Walatowa at 9:00. We'll keep you posted though by phone. Or, I forget, do you have a ham radio yet?

I am coming and bringing a friend. Not planning on cutting down a tree (going to Reno for Christmas) but I'd be happy to transport one back in the bed of my truck for anyone who needs it.

There's a pretty good chance we'll be there. But if Danise's neck cannot handle the terrain, we'll turn around and head out early. We should be able to figure that out very early on so we won't be at a point where that would be bad for us to head back to pavement on our own.

Harry,
I will take you up on that offer. It will save me having to rig up a Yakima rack on short notice. We can come pick it up with the Tacoma on Sunday if that is OK.

Looking forward to seeing you again.

I'll know if I'm going in two days.

If I am going, it'll be in the faux-lux, but without tire chains. (or riding with someone). But I'd be able to bring a few chain saws for errant obstacles with me.

I'll have an extra seat.

:)

Also, IIRC, Ali is coming as well.

I will also have the entire roof of my POS for tree strapping activities.

:p

Yup, the Ali family will be there. I can't wait to get out of freeze box in PA :crybaby: It hasn't reached 32* yet since sat.
