Where has this month gone? I haven't been able to plan anything. We will probably just head up to the Manzanos on Friday for a tree, don't want to disappoint the rest of the family.

Haha it really did fly by! I hadn’t either. I was holding out to since I thought I was going to finish up the cruiser in time but I think it’s still a week or two out. That sounds good, though! I hope you guys find a nice one! And Happy Thanksgiving! 🍁🦃🥧🍷

I was in the Jemez yesterday and it was a good time as usual. I was on 376 which doesn't have a lot of snow left and it's packed down icy in the shady spots. Curious how much more snow little higher elevations have.

Hope your Thanksgiving was good.

We went up to the Manzanos today. Not a whole lot of trees, but found a couple good ones. Jack took his 4runner up this time so his sister and her husband could go. Found a few decent trails and had some fun. No snow.

@pappy didn't we see this Sequoia at U pull n pay couple of weeks back?

No trouble finding a tree in the Manzanos? I notice the Mountainaire RD map says there may not be a lot of Douglas-fir and white fir due to the tussock moth outbreak.
This year we pulled out a 14Ft white fir. I used a trail just east of Red Canyon camp ground and pulled out Douglas firs the last 4 years. If you would like the coordinates LMK.
Don't pet the tussock moths. They might look cute, but they are bad juju.

Yes their awful critters. A female moth got close to me last year and I immediately got a rash from its hairs.

We got ours from about the same place I think.

My partner and our friend used to work on the cibola so it was a lot of fun to go up with another friend who has a camry to grab some trees. We bagged them to look as suspicious as possible returning home
