Good luck, was there any indication the radiator was going bad?, added leaking coolant lately or was it overheated before breaking?

Seems like I can't get my hands on another rad before taking off, so tomorrow I'm dropping it off at a boat builders shop, he could give it a try.
He's a well known mechanic, and have aided me a few times before.
Fingers crossed!

I knew it was sweating for the last week, and added some stop leak, and it got better.
But I cleaned out the whole system, and flushed it before doing a new water pump, and the leak was pretty bad.

I've had no indications of overheating, the 12HT runs real cool.
Gauge goes up to half after 40 minutes of highway, then sinks a couple mm when thermostat opens at 88deg C.

On the bright side, better to fix it now, than a few hundred miles away from home.

Got a few hours down this weekend, swapped the water pump and belts while access was easy.

Finished the bracketry and wiring for the passenger seat, and got both mounted. Had to get creative with passenger side, to work around the rear heater.

I got some help from a set of smaller hands for the tight stuff!

While I had the seats out, I chopped the tab on the locker handle.
Earlier I could not engage them separately, pulling front also pulled rear.

Quick-fix quarter panels are in progress, just sheets of ply to seal things up and have somewhere to mount the 6x9 kickers.

Was going to service rear drivers drum brake, but I got the wrong wheel cylinder....
Swapped a cv, was out of time to do the other side.

It was my understanding that the front locker couldn't be engaged unless the rear was engaged first?? So, in theory, you made a bypass to be able to lock the front independently of the rear instead of in conjunction with??

I think you are correct about that, on the dash mounted 7 series and such, that you have to engage rear first, then front.

I cut the tab that pulles both handles, if lifting the front locker handle.
Now they are independent.

Here you see the tabs on the lower end of the handle.

I keep my nails clean, and they fit in small places

No, really, she's helping out allot, she swapped in the rear manual window regulators from the donor, lubed them up and all!
(Rear passenger doors are manual)

was thinking about going this route.. Then I could just rip it off if I don't like the look. How do you think it would hold up on door handles?

Sorry for the late reply, but now I can answer a bit more.

About the plasti dip, it's been on there 4-5 months.
The mirrors held up trough a small bushwhacking, a couple car wash, but did flake off a bit on one corner, about 1x1cm.
I guess something hit it, and it expands pretty fast, if torn.
Can maybe be sealed and touched up with a brush of dip.
Not suprised, but I wouldn't use it on door handles, if the purpose is more or less for permanent looks.
It would probably wear after a couple months.
The surface get scratches and won't buff up.

If the purpose is (short term) protection, it's ok. I'm thinking it will hold up great in areas with little or no mechanical wear. I'm gonna try it on the hood, and see if it handles the heat.

I'll just make a quick update, having a great time around Scandinavia.
Tarmac highway, endless miles on gravel, and one week of trails and awesomeness in mid Finland's deepest forests and swamps.

Cruiser is doing fine, only carnage has been reversed front shackle, sideways bent rear shackles (swapped to 4+)
Trashed rear driveshaft, lost brakes, and a few minor issues that could be fixed with a sledge.

These trails would have destroyed the 60 without the front bumper, rock sliders and belly protection.
Spent the last days before I headed out adding the protection, working day and night buttoning everything up.

Now I'm heading down the Swedish coast, to Stockholm and meeting up with a few more guys and a couple of trails.

More photos will come on the next update, probably tonight.

Oh, I'm looking forward to reviewing and holding a bit of the videos from the last two weeks.
Ended the trails today outside of Stockholm, attending Swenden Offroad Tour SOT.

Gnarly, Rocky, Muddy, Treey' trails, and the cruiser did fine.
A hundyeven blew the transfer output following my tracks.
(With missus driving)
-all on tape.

Now we've rebooted and went into camp-mode for the last week of exploring, no more difflocks, winching and mudslingin' -just looking for beautiful camp sites in unexplored territory for me.
