Does anyone know what size the pin connectors need to be? I’d like to add these direct to the harness wire vs a splice to the Toyota terminal repair wire

So after 5 pages of utter confusion, it appears that no 5 pin harness is needed just the Eaton harness, the factory magic button and lockers. Is that the conclusion I should come to? Zuk just build my rear 3rd. Getting ready to send him my front. Both have Eaton’s.
You will also need:
- an additional relay for the each locker (1 for front, 1 for rear) to trigger the dash lights
- the bulb and socket for each locker to add to the dash
- Terminal repair wires

What are you trying to pin into?

the only reason you use the toyota terminal repair wire is so that you don't cut up factory harness and you plug the wire directly into the depinned wire. The loose end of the terminal repair wire gets connected to to a relay, or ground, or other signal (see the previously posted wiring harnesses).

I’m trying to get my lockers to work with the factory switch. According to the Toyota wiring handbook all the pins in the 16 pin connector are female. If I’m going to plug into the either after depinning or going into the connector, I need the male pins.

The repair wire includes the male pin already crimped

Does someone have pictures how the factory Eaton harness is routed into your cabin? Are you bringing it in through the firewall grommet or some other spot?

There is a big grommet on the pass side with two “nipples”, cut them with some scissors at the little groove. Fits the eaton wires perfectly

Thank you bro. I had cruiser outfitters build me two third members with these lockers and I’m finally gonna install this stuff soon. Hope to put this rig to some good use. So far it’s just been a money pit lol.

I just finished wiring mine 2 weeks ago. I can send you some pictures. It was more confusing than I thought but once I started everything went great.

And if anyone else is wondering if their vehicle has the oem locker ecu plug, mine did. 94 without oem lockers

Also does anyone have any additional pics of everything mounted for both lockers? I know the thread starter only installed a rear locker. Was curious of placement of all 4 relays etc when doing F&R lockers. And how tricky is it to de-pin that grey OEM plug? Any special tools needed?

I did my best to keep the wiring clean... so be kind... I used the studs that were in the kick panel (they take an M6x1.0 nut), if you look closely you can see where everything was mounted.

You need something an inch long, and flat. one of these should do the trick:
Amazon product ASIN B09B4WJVWW
Be sure to pry up the retainer and then push the pin retainer tab down. It's a bit finicky, if you are pushing/pulling anything super hard you're doing it wrong. Hardest part is working in that little area.

Give yourself more wire than you need.

You are the man! Did you end up buying the Toyota repair wires or just splice? I ended up getting pins from mouser and will just crimp direct to the locker harness wires, then plug into the Toyota connections that have been de-pinned. Once I do that I’ll heat shrink them.

Did you drill any new holes into the body for mounting for just mount to the existing holes?

That’ll do!

No new holes, although it would have been easier to install a couple threadserts.

there are two more studs tucked up in there that are kind of a pain to get to, but i used em!

This thread explains wiring the Eaton elockers and harness using the OEM switch and getting dash lights to function when bulbs have been installed. I am using the provided Eaton switches and want to wire in the dash locker lights. I have the bulbs installed awhile ago when R&R the dash lights. My question is can I use two relays with pins # 2 and 6 from the depinned ECU plug and a triggering wire from my Eaton switch to make the dash lights functional? Or do I also need a +12v from my Eaton harness to the relay, ie to pin 8.
