I'm headed the diesel way (1HDT) and will be parting out my H55 transmission and FJ62 transfer case. The transfer case is original to the '88 truck. The H55 has ~ 60K.

Can you please provide your best estimate on the value of the parts?

Thank you......

I think an h55 can be had new for anywhere between 1800 to 2500 depending on the discounts and what not. I think that's what i read around the forum for the most part. T-cases can be had for a couple hundred when used and not rebuilt. So go from there.

that paper weight ain't worth the soap youd need to wash it off. tell ya what, I'll take it to the junkyard for 20 bucks.

If you mean if it's operated by solenoid then yes. No, the case was not rebuilt.

The FJ62 transfer case has bearing-supported output gears, older split cases used bushings - not as good. Using new Toyota parts to convert from vacuum to manual front drive engagement runs to $150 to $200 - I found that used parts are hard to find.

I would eBay it with no reserve starting at a price that you think is right, bearing in mind what I said earlier, and say no shipping. local pickup only. U may also want to maybe keep it as spare if you have the space. Just a thought.

You have the part numbers you used? Thinking of doing the same thing.

Thanks everyone for the input. First option is to sell local. I have a guy that's local that's interested in putting it in an 80. I'll see how it works out.

Thanks again.
