go for it, isnt their a fiiting on the top to do so??

I put grease in my a long time ago after it started leaking. It doesnt leak very much anymore. Seems to work fine.

If I knew that everything else inside the steering box was in good shape [so that I wouldn't be postponing a rebuild of something that NEEDED service] I might consider grease as a quick fix.

Then again, it's just SO EASY to replace the sector seal [provided you've got a friend with a good pitman arm puller] there really is NO REASON not to go ahead and change the sector seal, which will stop the leak you are trying to stop with a quick fix.

Mine is leaking like crazy. No friends with puller. What kind of grease do i use if i may ask. Just take the top fitting off and pump with grease correct?

you might be able to rent a puller at your local autoparts store. Trust Mark!
