FJ60 Wiper Arm Upgrade (1 Viewer)

Any one know the year or the part numbers of the 4runner wiper arms to upgrade my FJ60 wiper arms?
I did this up grade 10 years ago and my local Toyota dealership can't find what I ordered back then. All I
know is this was the best upgrade along with a new windshield and windshield gasket.
I think I ordered 1996 Toyota 4runner wiper arms, wiper arm caps and the nuts.
Any information here much appreciated!

I think the rear from an 80 works for the rear of the 60.

I believe you need two right hand 96 4Runner wiper arms for the front windshield. It might be two lefts. I don’t remember.

I have this one as well. It is so much better than the old originals. They have been on my 60 for 4 years and work great.

I remember changing just the rubber strip in my 92 4runner. Never changed the whole bade for many years.

Easy mod, I bought used arms off eBay and was up and running in no time. For the money, maybe the best mod for safety and convenience.

@88Retired62 Thanks for the info. The OP was asking and I'm curious too and just want to confirm. The wiper arms are both LH then??

Someone said they were both from one side.

Cruiserpilot…you are correct. Both arms are LH.

Check your local pick-a-part. I actually found a set of wipers from a 1st gen X-Terra. They were 15 bucks for the pair and they look/work great.

yeah mine came from a pick a part too. Two left hand arms from a 3rd gen runner. I scuffed them with a red scotchbrite and painted them and they looked brand new. Got both for like $15. Same with the 80 series rear

plastic guard below arms on cowl X2 - 85247-90A01
wiper arm nut covers got Dorman part 49460, this had 2 to the package

Thanks !!!! Just picked them up at the Toyota dealership. Hopefully this week I’ll be picking up my FJ60 after many years having work done.
New custom interrior with heated front and rear seats.
New stereo system.
New Sniper fuel injection.
New DESSENT front and rear bumpers.
New LED headlights
New rims and tires
New Rack system
And the list continues………..

I just updated both front wiper arms (4Runner) and wiper blades and the rear (FJ80). Very happy with the result. took a whole 5 mins.

I’ll bump this thread and say that this truly is one of the best mods (and I’ve done a bunch) that I’ve ever done on my 62. Wipes cleanly and “silently.” Wow!
